Amazon to build delivery station in Belton
Belton, Tx (FOX 44) – Amazon announces plans for a 127,000 square foot delivery station in Belton on Capital Way, just east of I-35. Plans for the launch are in the early stages, but construction is expected to start in the coming weeks. 'This delivery station will allow us to provide faster delivery and great service to customers in Belton and the surrounding area,' said Jessica Breaux, senior manager of economic development for Amazon. 'We're grateful for our partnership with the City of Belton and the Belton Economic Development Corporation and look forward to sharing more details about this facility in the future.' Delivery stations power the last mile of Amazon's order process. Packages are shipped to a delivery station from neighboring Amazon Fulfillment and Sortation Centers, loaded into delivery vehicles and delivered to customers. 'We're beyond excited to welcome Amazon to Belton,' Mayor David K. Leigh said. 'Many of us have welcomed Amazon delivery into our lives, celebrating a Christmas surprise on our doorsteps more than once a year. And now Amazon's investment brings local jobs, elevates our tax base, and improves delivery for our community. We look forward to a strong partnership with Amazon as they grow their presence here.' 'One of the core responsibilities of the Belton Economic Development Corporation is to bring new jobs and industry to Belton,' said Brandon Bozon, president of the BEDC Board of Directors. 'We are proud of the collaboration between the City of Belton and our BEDC team in making this project possible. Amazon's decision to establish operations in Belton is a win for our community, and we look forward to construction beginning soon.' Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
