SRTIP Board unveils strategy to build on phenomenal growth
The meeting, hosted at the iconic headquarters of BEEAH Group, brought together industry, academic, and government stakeholders committed to reinforcing Sharjah's position as a leading regional hub for innovation. Opening the session, Sheikha Bodour extended her gratitude to board members and stressed the importance of building robust partnerships across sectors. Driving Key Projects and Strategic Outlook SRTIP CEO Hussain Al Mahmoudi presented highlights of 2024, showcasing progress in major projects, business development, and further expansion. He outlined the outlook for 2025 with a renewed focus on infrastructure readiness, tenant growth, and attracting new innovation-driven enterprises. Al Mahmoudi said, 'With guidance from our board and support from our partners, SRTIP is entering an exciting phase of development—one that prioritises performance, strategic land use, and sectoral innovation. Our commitment to national goals and global competitiveness is stronger than ever.' Master Planning and Sectoral Innovation in Focus A detailed review of the Park's masterplan and leasing strategies was presented by senior members of the management team. Updates were shared on the progression of Phase 1 clusters, key land allocations for the SOTI initiative, and commercial partnerships like Base39. Sector-specific innovation efforts in healthcare, advanced manufacturing, sustainability, and mobility were spotlighted during dedicated sessions, including projections for business growth and key milestones. A roadmap for enhancing ecosystem dynamics through deeper academic engagement with institutions such as AUS and UOS, was presented, alongside policies to attract talent and incentivise innovation. Brand & Digital Transformation The team also presented updates on brand visibility, digital transformation milestones, and SoiLab's role in driving innovation through prototyping and SME engagement. Internal transformation strategies, including HR development, were discussed as enablers of operational excellence. The board reviewed SRTIP's financial outlook through 2027, including budget projections for 2025. Audit insights were endorsed by the board, affirming the Park's financial and governance stability. The meeting concluded with an open discussion on next steps, followed by a tour of the "Naseej: Threads of Hope" exhibition. With strong alignment between strategic planning and execution, SRTIP reaffirmed its role as a key driver of Sharjah's innovation economy.

Salem bin Abdulrahman crowns BEEAH as Ramadan Padel Tennis champs
The BEEAH Group triumphed over the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority team, which took second place, in an exciting final match. The Sharjah Police Sciences Academy team secured third place. This tournament is part of the Sharjah Government Employees Club's initiative to promote a healthy lifestyle among staff and create an opportunity for employees to connect outside of their regular work duties. It encourages teamwork, positive interactions, and a sense of community among workers. The organizers are dedicated to improving the event each year to attract more participants and provide a memorable sporting experience. The tournament drew a large audience, with 34 teams from 28 different government agencies participating, totaling 68 players. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with great enthusiasm from both players and spectators. Many padel tennis fans came out to cheer, adding to the vibrant setting of the tournament. Kicking off during Ramadan, the event offered a chance for government employees to strengthen their relationships in a fun and competitive environment, helping to shake up their daily routines and encouraging a spirit of challenge and sportsmanship. The final match and award ceremony were attended by several notable figures, including Ahmed Hamad Al Suwaidi, Head of the Ruler's Office, Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, Chairman of the Sharjah Government Employees Club, and many other officials and representatives from the participating teams.

Ramadan Padel Tennis Championship concludes with intense matches
Notable Closing Presence In the presence of Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, the Sharjah Government Employees Club concluded the men's Padel Tennis competitions, held from March 16 to March 21, with 32 teams from various entities participating. Details on Tournament Format In a statement to 'Sharjah24', Al Qaseer detailed that the championship was conducted in a knockout format, showcasing 32 teams from various government entities across the emirate. BEEAH Group has secured the top position following an impressive showing in the concluding phases. Broad Player Involvement Al Qaseer stated that the Ramadan tournament attracted over 600 players from more than 45 government and semi-government entities. AED 84,000 was the total prize pool, allocated to the top three winning teams. Spirit and Engagement Al Qaseer highlighted that the tournament is designed to promote sportsmanship and strengthen institutional ties among employees of the Sharjah government. The high level of participation and positive engagement from all players and supporters received commendation, underscoring the Club's dedication to organising a variety of sports activities aimed at fostering healthy lifestyles among employees.

Exciting format and rising popularity Padel tennis has been gaining increasing popularity among Sharjah government employees, offering a thrilling blend of excitement, fitness, and teamwork. The competition follows a group-stage format, where the leading team from each group will progress to the knockout stages. The elimination rounds will begin with the round of 16, followed by the quarter-finals and semi-finals, culminating in a final match to determine the ultimate champion. Promoting sports as a lifestyle Maryam Saif Al Zari, Board Member of the Sharjah Government Employees Club, highlighted that the tournament reflects the club's commitment to creating a vibrant sporting environment for government employees. She emphasised that events like this play a crucial role in encouraging employees to adopt an active lifestyle, balancing work responsibilities with physical activity, which positively impacts their productivity and overall well-being. Additionally, she noted that padel tennis, as a team sport, aligns with the core values of government institutions, which prioritise collaboration and teamwork. Recognition and rewards The women's tournament will conclude on 15 March, with winning teams being crowned before the men's competition commences on 16 March. The championship will conclude on 21 March, with the top three teams in both categories receiving significant cash prizes. The first-place winners will be awarded AED 6,000, while the second and third-place teams will receive AED 4,000 and AED 2,000, respectively. The competition is expected to be highly competitive, with skilled teams adding to the excitement and intensity of the matches. Strong sponsorship support The tournament is made possible through the support of several key sponsors. The Sharjah Sports Council serves as the Gold Sponsor, while BEEAH Group takes the role of Silver Sponsor.
