Early goal separates Chelsea and Real Betis in UECL final
LIVE:2025-05-28T19:47:42Z HALF TIME! Fernández's corner is easily dealt with by Bartra, and that's half-time! Big work to do for Chelsea. Betis have been brilliant. 2025-05-28T19:43:44Z Jörgensen makes a very unconvincing punch/effort to claim the ball from Antony's free-kick, and Chelsea just about clear it away. It's been a very poor half from the Blues. 2025-05-28T19:41:17Z It's been mostly dead possession for Chelsea so far, with little to no chances. Making three changes at the back from Sunday felt an odd choice by Maresca, and his side just don't look in rhythm at all. 2025-05-28T19:36:28Z Betis have now scored first in 13 of their 14 Conference League games. Foreboding for Chelsea? 2025-05-28T19:35:20Z Betis are on top, but they could do with getting a second before the break. Chelsea will surely step it up a bit at some point, and they have a stacked bench to use. 2025-05-28T19:32:06Z Isco is rolling back the years here, as he has done all season. He's back in the Spain squad after a six-year absence, and it's easy to see why. What a baller. 2025-05-28T19:30:24Z Enzo Fernández and Noni Madueke combine but the winger's cross is blocked before it gets to Jackson. Betis are really on their game tonight. 2025-05-28T19:24:44Z Chelsea have had most of the ball, but have done precious little with it. Pellegrini is currently showing his one-time disciple Maresca who is master right now. 2025-05-28T19:23:13Z MORE GREAT PLAY FROM BETIS! They might rue that one. Ezzalzouli cuts through Gusto on the right, and lays the ball back to Isco, who fires wide. Another let off for Chelsea. 2025-05-28T19:19:50Z Chelsea can barely get a second on the ball, and they're getting whistled by the Betis faithful whenever they're on it. 2025-05-28T19:15:13Z BETIS ALMOST GET A SECOND! The press works again, and centre-half Marc Bartra forces Filip Jörgensen into a fine save from 25 yards out. Chelsea need to get a foothold in this game. 2025-05-28T19:13:51Z This is Betis' first-ever European final, and they're already enjoying it. What a moment for the Green and Whites. 2025-05-28T19:11:46Z GOAL! BETIS TAKE THE LEAD!!!! What a start! Malo Gusto gives away the ball needlessly but it's good pressing from Betis. The ball comes to that man, Isco, and he brilliantly picks out Abde Ezzalzouli, who hammers the ball home with an equally great finish from the left. 2025-05-28T19:10:06Z Moisés Caicedo is rocking his face mask again, and has bleached his hari to go with it. 2025-05-28T19:08:46Z Isco is the man who will pull the strings for Betis tonight, and he's looking for space in between the lines already. 2025-05-28T19:07:33Z Lively start here, with Antony heading over and Cole Palmer cutting inside from the right but only shooting straight at Adrián. 2025-05-28T19:01:40Z KICK OFF! And we're under way! 2025-05-28T18:57:58Z Minutes from kick off in Wroclaw. 2025-05-28T18:57:32Z Antony isn't the only player in the Betis squad with Premier League experience. Former Liverpool keeper Adrián starts in goal, as does ex-West Ham midfielder Pablo Fornals. Giovani Lo Celso, 2022 World Cup winner and one-time Spurs man, is on the bench. How many more narratives do we need?! 2025-05-28T14:13:15Z The final also sees two on-loan Manchester United wingers face off in Antony and Jadon Sancho, who played together at Old Trafford in the 2022/23 season. The Betis winger's loan spell has gone better, but who will be lifting a European trophy tonight? 2025-05-28T14:11:59Z It is a special occasion for the two managers, with Enzo Maresca coming up against his "football dad" Manuel Pellegrini. The former title-winning Manchester City boss first encouraged the Italian to become a coach while managing him at Malaga in 2011. Pellegrini also gave Maresca his big break, adding him to his coaching staff at West Ham seven years on in 2018. Another seven years on, and the two face off in a European final. Quite the story. 2025-05-28T14:09:42Z Chelsea are aiming to become the first club to win all three current European club competitions, in addition to the now-defunct Cup Winners' Cup they won in 1998. On the other hand, Betis are simply looking to win their first European title. 2025-05-28T14:08:14Z Hello and welcome to our live coverage of tonight's UEFA Conference League final between Chelsea and Real Betis at the Wroclaw Stadium in Poland.

📷 Isco shows incredible vision to provide Real Betis' UECL opener
Real Betis made a perfect start in the 2025 Conference League final, taking just nine minutes to open the scoring. The LaLiga outfit took the lead through Abde Ezzalzouli's thunderous finish into the bottom corner, but the assist from Isco was on another level. Surrounded by two Chelsea players on the edge of a crowded penalty area, Isco somehow managed to thread a perfectly weighted pass to his left, leading to the match opener.
