Sarawak Expands Business Events Awards To Global Stage
KUCHING, April 28 (Bernama) -- Sarawak has elevated its recognition platform for business events with the launch of the Borneo Inspires Legacy Awards (BILA), expanding globally to honour outstanding contributions.
State Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said the enhanced awards reflect Sarawak's commitment to sustainability and long-term impact in the global business events sector.
"This positions the industry as a driver of economic growth, knowledge-sharing, environmental responsibility and social progress," he said at the BILA 2025 press conference here today.
