Bolt.Earth Unveils Blaze DC, India's Fastest Charger for Two and Three-Wheelers, Accelerating Access to Rapid Charging Nationwide
VMPL Bangalore (Karnataka) [India], May 8: India's largest EV charging network, has officially launched the Blaze DC fast charger for electric two- and three-wheelers. Designed to meet the growing demand for faster, more accessible charging, Blaze DC delivers 1% charge per minute--up to 3.5x faster than conventional options. Unlike retrofitted car chargers, Blaze DC is engineered ground-up for India's two- and three-wheelers. It's universal, OEM-agnostic, and supports both Type 6 and the upcoming Type 7 connectors--ensuring compatibility with over 90% of the fast-charging enabled EVs in the market. It is also India's first universal fast charger built on the BIS-approved national standard-- making it fully compliant, interoperable, and future-ready for nationwide deployment. For Indian EV riders, "charging anxiety" remains a major barrier--especially for urban commuters who can't afford long breaks. Blaze DC tackles this head-on, offering quick, convenient power-ups that help users swap lengthy waits for seamless rides. "Blaze DC is substantially faster than any two-wheeler charger in the country. The 12kW variant delivers up to 100 kms of range in just 15 minutes -- with headroom to grow as battery platforms evolve," said Raghav Bharadwaj, CEO of "That's enough to recover 2-4 hours of highway riding at 40-70 kmph in the time it takes for a quick pit stop. Most riders who start around 10:00 a.m. typically pause by noon to grab lunch and recharge--making that 30-minute window the perfect moment to power up. That's the future we're building: charging that fits into your day, not the other way around." The Blaze DC range includes 3kW, 6kW, and 12kW models. The 3kW variant is designed to run on a standard single-phase connection, requiring no additional rewiring or complex electrical modifications. This allows for straightforward deployment in residential and small commercial settings. The charger also supports direct upgrades from 3.3kW AC units, enabling faster charging without infrastructure changes--reducing installation time and associated costs. To minimize downtime and streamline maintenance, Blaze DC is built with a modular architecture. Key components such as the power unit, controller, and communication modules can be replaced on-site. The system includes field-replaceable units (FRUs) to enable faster fault detection and service response. Initial deployments of Blaze DC have already commenced in Bengaluru, Pune, Kerala, and Hyderabad. is working with local partners to expand access across other high-demand EV corridors. EV users can easily locate and access these chargers through the EV Charging App, available on both the Play Store and App Store. Makers, sellers of non-certified helmets to face FIRs in Noida
Noida: Manufacturers and vendors selling non-ISI-certified helmets , linked to motorcycle accident fatalities, will soon face FIRs in the two NCR cities. Transport commissioner BN Singh told TOI that helmets are the first line of defence for bikers, yet many choose inferior headgear over BIS-approved helmets because these are cheaper. While enforcement drives are in the pipeline too, Singh said ARTOs and their teams will, for now, crack down on manufacturers and retailers, including roadside sellers, of substandard protective gear that have flooded the market. Teams will seize the non-BIS-certified helmets and lodge FIRs against manufacturers and sellers under Section 177 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and other sections of the BNS. "We have asked them to intensify awareness campaigns to educate the public about the importance of wearing BIS-certified helmets for their safety," Singh said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The Dark Truth Nobody Talks About! Expertinspector Click Here Undo The move aligns with CM's directive, at the State Road Safety Council meeting, to halve road crash fatalities in the state and the ministry of road transport and highways' June 2021 order making BIS certification mandatory for all helmets under standard IS 4151:2015. Last year, 24,118 people lost their lives in 46,052 road accidents in UP. The 1,156 road accidents reported in Noida last year left 462 people dead and 966 injured, data shows. During the period, Noida traffic police issued 17 lakh challans to motorcyclists for not wearing helmets. In the first quarter of the year, 8.1 lakh traffic challans were issued, of which 3.5 lakh (43%) were for bikers caught without helmets. "Nearly 51% of the victims were aged between 18 and 35 years, a trend that has raised serious concerns," Singh said. "Almost 80% of all registered vehicles in UP are two-wheelers, and with the rapid increase in the number of vehicles, accidents have also been on the rise." As per MV Act and Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989, it's mandatory for bikers to wear BIS (ISI) certified helmets. Section 129 of the Act also states both the rider and the pillion, above 4 years of age, must wear BIS-certified helmets. Section 177, which classifies the violation of any provision of the MV Act or related rules or notifications as a punishable offence, states that for a first offence, the penalty is a fine that may extend to Rs 500, and for any second or subsequent offence, the fine can extend to Rs 1,500, it says. Sub-standard helmets are freely sold roadside in Noida. While Section 138(4)(f) requires two-wheeler dealers to provide a BIS-certified helmet to a buyer at the time of sale, transport department officials said several dealers blatantly flout these norms by providing sub-standard helmets to bikers.
