Eight teams squared off in four games in the Class 3A boys high school state tournament bracket in the quarterfinal round on Thursday at the Tacoma Dome. Here are the results and five players who stood out from the session. No. 5 Edmonds-Woodway 73, No. 6 Lincoln 36 No. 2 Mount Spokane 52, No. 8 Bellarmine Prep 48 (OT) No. 3 Garfield 70, No. 4 Bellevue 54 No. 1 Rainier Beach 99, No. 7 Seattle Prep 75 G Cameron Hiatt, Edmonds-Woodway, sr. — Stuffed the stat sheet against Lincoln, racking up a 33 point, 14 rebound double-double with a blocked shot and two steals. Also shot over 50 percent from the field and was a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line. F Jaden Ghoreishi, Mount Spokane, jr. — For the second day in a row, Mount Spokane's big man was a major factor in a Wildcats' win, this time in a comeback against scrappy Bellarmine Prep. He posted a double-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and a steal and was a perfect 11-of-11 from the free throw line. G J.J. Bordeaux, Bellarmine Prep, sr. — Caught fire early against Mount Spokane and finished with 18 points, five rebounds, three assists and six steals, hitting three 3-pointers in the overtime loss. G BJ Roy Jr., Garfield, sr. — The son of former NBA player and current Garfield coach Brandon Roy, Roy Jr. has game, too. He scored a game-high 18 points with seven rebounds, an assist, a blocked shot and a steal and was lights out from deep, making four of his five 3-point attempts. W Dre Morris, Rainier Beach, soph. — Rainier Beach scored 99 points in its win over Seattle Prep and Morris accounted for 25 of them, torching the Panthers from deep. He made seven of his nine 3-point attempts, had four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the win. Edmonds-Woodway's Cam Hiatt on keeping Lincoln out of transition: 'They come from a brand of basketball that likes to get up and down and that's tough. But when you get them in the halfcourt, you make them play possession basketball and you make them execute, that changes things and it changed it for us today.' Garfield's BJ Roy Jr. on playing through a foot injury: 'I'm a senior now. These are my last couple of games. I just thought about how this is all I've got. I just had to push through and play.'
