Man dead after train strikes vehicle in Kenton
Feb. 17—KENTON — A 63-year-old Zanesfield man died from injuries he sustained when a train struck his car Feb. 11 in Kenton.
According to a crash report from the Kenton Police Department, Joe Alan Stuber reportedly drove his 2001 Toyota Camry around a set of downward railroad crossing guards at a crossing in Kenton near Bales Road. A train struck the vehicle on the passenger side around 2:39 p.m.
The BKP Ambulance District transported Stuber to Lima Memorial Hospital. Passenger Joshua Frederick, 44, of Upper Sandusky, suffered no injuries, according to the to the report.
As of 11 a.m. Monday, The Lima News is awaiting more information from the Kenton Police Department or BKP Ambulance District about Stuber's official time of death.
