15k fine on pvt co for open waste disposal & burning garbage
Bhopal: A private company faced penalties for improper waste disposal and garbage burning incidents. Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) staff imposed a combined spot fine of Rs 15,000.
According to a presser here on Tuesday, BMC continued its efforts to preserve city cleanliness and air quality. The enforcement team from Zone 16 discovered violations by the company in Govindpura Industrial Area on Tuesday. The company received two separate penalties, Rs 10 thousand for open garbage disposal and Rs 5 thousand for burning waste. Maintaining monitoring of entities causing pollution and disrupting sanitation systems, BMC team documented these violations under BMC Ward 65, BMC said.
The corporation officials issued formal warnings to private entity, instructing them to cease open waste disposal and burning practices. The authorities clarified that future violations would result in more severe consequences.
