Boy, 4, electrocuted in Bengaluru convention hall

Bengaluru: A four-year-old boy was electrocuted at a convention hall in Basaveshwara Nagar, west Bengaluru, Wednesday night. The victim, Shivam MP, was the younger son of Pradeep Kumar and Deepa, a couple from Kempegowda Nagar. The family had come to the convention hall to attend the marriage reception of Pradeep's relative when the tragedy occurred, police said. According to Deepa, she found Shivam lying supine near the air cooler placed by the staircase at the hall. "Shocked on seeing him lying motionless, I ran towards him and held him by the shoulder. Then, electric shocks passed through me and I screamed. Someone disconnected the air cooler and pulled us away. We immediately shifted Shivam to a nearby private hospital, but the doctors declared him dead on arrival," Deepa stated in her complaint to police. The wires of the air cooler were exposed, and Shivam, who was playing with other children near it, accidentally stepped on the wire where it was exposed, police said. Deepa has blamed the electrician, manager, and owner of the hall for the tragedy and sought legal action against them. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like One of the Most Successful Investors of All Time, Warren Buffett, Recommends: 5 Books for Turning...
