Bears select RB Kyle Monangai with 233rd overall pick in 2025 NFL draft

Bears select RB Kyle Monangai with 233rd overall pick in 2025 NFL draft The Chicago Bears have selected Rutgers running back Kyle Monangai with the 233rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft. This is their final selection of the draft barring a trade up. Head coach Ben Johnson finally gets his running back in Monangai -- after missing out on some top prospects earlier in the draft -- but this is a good value pick for Chicago. Monangai posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with the Scarlet Knights. He had a career year last season with 256 carries for 1,279 yards and 13 touchdowns. He added 14 receptions for 75 yards and one score. Monangai has zero career fumbles in 670 attempts, per Pro Football Focus. Here's what Lance Zierlein had to say about Monangai: "Short but stout two-time team captain who is bundled tightly into a compact, muscular frame. Monangai is quicker than fast and lacks breakaway speed but can change the track of the run at a moment's notice with unpredictable cuts at sharp angles. His vision is average and his lack of run-lane discipline will irk offensive line coaches, but he creates yardage out of nowhere and has exceptional contact balance to repel would-be tacklers. He lacks ideal third-down value, so teams will need to be comfortable with tabbing Monangai as an early-down backup who can handle a heavier carry load if needed." Monangai joins a Bears running back room led by D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson, so the Rutgers product will have an opportunity to compete for carries and a roster spot. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Player Pickups March 15 - Smith, Samoskevich Highlight Youth Movement

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games. Quinton Byfield, C/LW/RW, LA vs. NSH (48% rostered) Why not make it six?! Byfield's goal scoring streak has continued and this is a great matchup for the Kings; the Preds allow a lot of goals and unless they're on the power play don't usually pose much of a threat on offense. Their center depth is a little thin, and with home-ice advantage that gives the Kings a chance to get Byfield on the matchups they want. Linemate Warren Foegele (15% rostered) is also a good option while Byfield's hot. Dylan Cozens, C, OTT at TOR (41% rostered) A big rivalry game looms in the Battle of Ontario, and this is a chance for Cozens to really show what he's capable of. He's notched a point in every single game since joining the Sens, and providing multi-category value with 11 shots, 20 hits and 25 faceoff wins. Pavel Dorofeyev, LW/RW, VGK at BUF (36% rostered) Good chance for Dorofeyev to keep his hot streak going against a team that has lost seven of their past eight and allowed at least four goals in all seven of their losses. Dorofeyev has two goals and four points in his past three games and offers high-volume shooting, averaging three shots per game. Will Smith, C/RW, SJ vs. WSH (15% rostered) Smith's two-point effort against the Hawks extended his points streak to five games and he's been excellent with 22 points in his past 27 games. It's a tough matchup but Smith plays on a high-upside line with Macklin Celebrini, and their chemistry has been evidence. Celebrini assisted on Smith's goal against the Caps in the first minutes of the game. Mackie Samoskevich, RW, FLA at MTL (13% rostered) Samoskevich's fantasy value is really starting to pick up steam with two assists against the Leafs on Thursday. His ice time has increased significantly since the beginning of the season from 11 minutes per game to 16, and he's playing with Sam Bennett on L2 and on PP1, who was the recipient of both of Samoskevich's assists in their last game. Jack Roslovic, C/RW, CAR at PHI (3% rostered) A little difficult to predict which Canes role player is going to score, but Roslovic should be a good pick. He's on a three-game points streak against a Flyers teams that's been playing very porous lately. Even if Roslovic doesn't score a point, he's usually great for shots on goal. Zach Benson, LW, BUF vs. VGK (2% rostered) No JJ Peterka and no Josh Norris means Benson will likely skate L1 with Tage Thompson. He scored two points, including one on the power play, in a 7-3 loss to the Red Wings in their last game. He hasn't had a good season but even-strength minutes on the top line and some power play puts Benson in a good position to score points. K'Andre Miller, D, NYR at CBJ (8% rostered) The Rangers are lacking offense from the back end but Miller has picked up some of the slack with four points in seven games. The Rangers are sticking with Zac Jones on their top unit while Miller gets PP2. The Jackets are one of the league's worst defensive teams and expected to start backup Daniil Tarasov. Shakir Mukhamadullin, D, SJ vs. WSH (2% rostered) Tough matchup but worth noting Mukhamadullin noted a power-play assist for the second time in three games, and also played at least 20 minutes in six straight games. He's collected all seven of his assists this season over the past three weeks and certainly seems like a much better option than Timothy Liljegren on the Sharks PP right now. Former Eastenders star in critically acclaimed production this week

Following two triumphant West End season and a sold-out UK tour, Tracy-Ann Oberman (EastEnders, Doctor Who, Friday Night Dinner), has reprised her starring role as the first British actress to play Shylock in the critically acclaimed production of The Merchant of Venice 1936. She stars at Fareham Live until Saturday. With the city on the brink of political unrest, fascism sweeping across Europe and Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists threatening a paramilitary march through the Jewish East End, strong-willed single mother Shylock runs a pawnbroking business from her house in Cable Street where Mosley will march. (Image: Marc Brenner)READ MORE:Influential figure on the city's music scene to move on after 25 years Tracy-Ann Oberman said: "Demand has been so high that I feel bringing it back is essential. "The message of my female Shylock - based on my Great Grandma, a widow in the East End standing up to Oswald Mosley and the British Union of Fascists, with all her neighbours and others horrified by the message of BUF - feels more pertinent than ever. "The play is about unity, standing together against hatred and the play's impact has been beyond my wildest hopes and ambitions for it.' Tickets from
