Bhagalpur: State BJP president and former revenue minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal on Sunday said the party believes in inclusive politics by taking along everyone in society and works for betterment of people across the state and the nation. He was addressing a meeting, 'Pradesh Gangota Mahasammelan', organized by Gangota caste members in Bhagalpur. The party president also inaugurated 'Baba Anant Das Smriti Shatabadi Samaroh'. Earlier, Jaiswal, a third time member of the legislative council, was given a rousing welcome at Bhagalpur by the party MLAs, district BJP office-bearers and functionaries, aspiring to get party tickets for the forthcoming state assembly elections. Organizing the state-level Gangota caste meeting in Bhagalpur holds significance in view of sizeable numbers of Gangota caste population in Bhagalpur, Purnia and adjoining districts. The Gangotas are also preponderant in Kahalgaon, Bihpur, Gopalpur, Nathnagar, Rupauli, Bihariganj and other assembly constituencies of old Bhagalpur division. In order to woo the Gangotas, the state BJP president said the community people always have given their best for social works and reforms. Referring to Baba Anant Das, the state BJP president said that Baba was a real saint and was a devotee of Lord Ram since his childhood. "We should follow the preachings of Baba Anant Das," Jaiswal said. Former state EBC commission chairperson and ex-teacher in the department of English at Tilkamanjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) Ratan Mandal said the Gangota community members always stood for upliftment of society and social justice. He also appealed the community members to unite and strengthen the hands of NDA. Present on the occasion were Pirpainty MLA Aman Kumar, Kahalgaon MLA Pawan Yadav, state secretary Anil Thakur, district BJP president Santosh Sah, Shrikant Kushwaha besides several others.
