Bahrain Olympic Committee Attends Judo World Championships Opening
TDT | Manama Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Excellency Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, attended the opening ceremony of the Judo World Championships currently being held in Hungary from June 13 to 20. Joining him at the ceremony were Dr. Faisal Kanoo, Vice President of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council and President of the Bahrain Judo Federation, as well as Eldar, the Federation's technical director. During his visit, Mr. Al Kooheji met with International Judo Federation President Marius Vizer. On behalf of the Bahraini delegation, he presented Vizer with a commemorative gift, reflecting the spirit of international sports diplomacy and Bahrain's ongoing engagement with global sporting bodies.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Issues Edict (13) of 2025 on Bahrain Judo Federation Board
Manama: His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, has issued Edict (13) of 2025 concerning the appointment of the Bahrain Judo Federation Board of Directors. According to Bahrain News Agency, the edict outlines the new appointments for the Bahrain Judo Federation Board of Directors for the 2025 – 2028 term. Dr. Faisal Khalid Kanoo has been appointed as President, alongside board members Abdulrahman Taha Mahmood Faqihi, Hakim Awad Aqla, Salem Mohammed Ayedh Al Otaibi, Mohammed Masha'allah Mohammed, Abdullah Jassim Najm Al Mannai, and Alaa Khalid Al Qattan.
