Exhibition World Bahrain Takes Part in IMEX Frankfurt 2025
Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) wrapped up its participation at IMEX Frankfurt 2025, held from 20 to 22 May in Frankfurt, Germany. As one of the leading international exhibitions for the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) industry, IMEX Frankfurt 2025 brought together thousands of professionals and suppliers from across the globe. Representing EWB at the event were Alan Pryor, General Manager; Huda Al Shamlan, Director of Marketing, Communications and Partnerships; and Bjorn Hufkie, Director of Business Development. Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) was also represented by Consultant and Advisor Dr. Ali Follad; and Ahmed Lari, a Marketing and Promotion Specialist at BTEA. The delegation presented Bahrain's flagship exhibition and conference venue, highlighting its advanced infrastructure and adaptable spaces designed to accommodate a diverse range of events—from large-scale conventions and exhibitions to smaller corporate meetings, live events and entertainment, cultural gatherings, and private functions and galas. Over the course of three days, the EWB team engaged with international industry stakeholders, including event planners, potential international clients, and other contributors to the wider industry such as association representatives and educators. These interactions contributed to strengthening Bahrain's presence in the global MICE sector and supported EWB's strategic objective of positioning itself as a preferred destination for high-profile international events. Her Excellency Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and Chairperson of EWB, remarked on the significance of the event: 'IMEX Frankfurt provides a valuable annual platform to promote Bahrain's offerings in the international MICE and business events landscape. Our participation supports EWB's broader ambition to attract world-class events and create long-term value for Bahrain's tourism and business sectors. The connections made during this event pave the way for future collaboration and growth.' Participation in IMEX Frankfurt forms part of EWB's ongoing efforts to build partnerships, enhance market visibility, and contribute to Bahrain's economic diversification strategy. With over 4,000 global meeting planners and more than 3,000 suppliers in attendance, the event offered a constructive forum for business development and industry insight.

Disney On Ice To Debut At EWB As Part Of Bahrain Summer Season 2025
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), in collaboration with Beyon Al Dana Theatre, will host Disney On Ice at Exhibition World Bahrain from August 12 – 17, as part of the Bahrain Summer Season 2025. The live family entertainment show will feature iconic Disney characters including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Moana, Cinderella, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Marigold, and Coco, offering audiences of all ages a memorable on-ice performance. The event forms part of the Kingdom of Bahrain's efforts to diversify its tourism offerings in line with the 2022 – 2026 Tourism Strategy, positioning the Kingdom as a key summer destination in the region. Tourism Authority unveils summer plans
TDT | Manama From concerts and gaming to staycation offers and family fun, Bahrain Summer 2025 has officially begun, with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) unveiling a major lineup of events, experiences, and promotional packages set to run across the Kingdom from today through the peak summer period. The campaign coincides with Eid Al-Adha and aims to position Bahrain as a leading seasonal tourism destination for Gulf families. 'We are working to promote the Kingdom of Bahrain as a major tourist destination in the region, especially during the summer season, which witnesses an increasing demand from Gulf families,' said Sara Ahmed Buhiji, Chief Executive Officer of BTEA.

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority organised a joint meeting with several representatives from the private sector, including hotels, shopping centers, and entertainment projects, to discuss BTEA's plans and programs for the "Bahrain Summer 2025" festival, as part of its efforts to develop the partnership between the public and private sectors in executing major events. During the meeting, Ms. Sarah Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of the BTEA, emphasised the crucial role of the private sector in the success of the tourism programs and initiatives implemented by the authority, noting that effective partnership with the private sector is a fundamental pillar in executing the tourism strategy 2022–2026, that aims to diversify the tourism product and increase the sector's contribution to the national economy.

Minister of Tourism Participates in Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai
Her Excellency Fatima bint Jaffar Al-Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, participated in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, which is being held from April 28 to May 1, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, under the theme of "Global Travel: Transforming the Tourism of the Future through Enhanced Connectivity." Al-Sairafi explained that the exhibition is one of the largest and most important exhibitions specializing in the travel and tourism sector regionally and globally. This year, it highlights the future aspects of travel and tourism, with a focus on the role of communication in shaping the next phase. She noted the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to taking part in such major international events, which contributes to promoting tourism and strengthening communication with stakeholders in the travel and tourism sector from all around the world. It also highlights Bahrain's distinguished tourism infrastructure, in addition to, the qualitative developments achieved in the tourism sector, and creates more opportunities for cooperation with various markets and international partners, in line with the objectives of the 2022-2026 Tourism Strategy. This year, the Kingdom of Bahrain is participating with a pavilion comprising of 28 entities from the public and private sectors, most notably the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), the national carrier Gulf Air, and the Exhibition World Bahrain Centre (EWB), along with a number of luxury hotels and resorts and tourism DMCs. Bahrain's participation covers a 425 sqm pavilion, showcasing the Kingdom's most prominent tourism assets, while informing visitors and participants of the latest tourism projects and initiatives. Bilateral meetings will also be held with worldwide representatives from the tourism sector to explore opportunities for joint cooperation and exchange best practices in sustainable tourism. As part of the ATM participation, the Minister met with His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, and His Excellency Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman. They discussed prospects for cooperation with both countries in the tourism sector, emphasizing the importance of strengthening partnerships to serve common interests and tourism development plans in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
