Finance Minister Stresses Strategic Cooperation Between Bahrain and Oman

His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, reaffirmed the deep-rooted and historic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman. He emphasized the strong brotherly bonds and productive cooperation that continue to grow across various fields. Speaking during a meeting with His Excellency Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed Al Shuaili, Oman's Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, who is currently visiting Bahrain, Shaikh Salman highlighted the flourishing state of Bahraini-Omani relations. He credited this progress to the care and attention of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman. The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Bahrain's Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, His Excellency Faisal bin Harib Al Busaidi, Omani Ambassador to Bahrain, and several senior officials. Shaikh Salman underlined the commitment shared by both nations to further expand and deepen bilateral cooperation. He also noted the importance of reciprocal visits in fostering exchange of expertise and strengthening frameworks for joint action. Such collaborations, he added, contribute to the continued prosperity and development of both nations and their people.

His Excellency Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Bahrain's Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, commended the Kingdom's participation in the 29th Muscat International Book Fair, underscoring the close fraternal ties between Bahrain and Oman and Bahrain's commitment to maintaining a strong cultural presence at major events. Held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre under the patronage of Dr. Fahad bin Al Julanda Al Said, vice chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University, the Fair gathered over 600 publishing houses from 35 countries, offering diverse publications across technical, cultural, political, and social fields. Dr. Al Kaabi emphasised Bahrain's annual participation as a platform to showcase its rich cultural heritage and deepen cultural engagement. He highlighted the continued growth of Bahraini-Omani relations under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, reflected in joint initiatives.

Muscat: Bahrain's participation in the 29th Muscat International Book Fair has been praised by Dr. Juma bin Ahmed Al Kaabi, Bahrain's Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman. He emphasized the close fraternal ties between Bahrain and Oman and Bahrain's commitment to maintaining a strong cultural presence at major events. According to Bahrain News Agency, the event was held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre under the patronage of Dr. Fahad bin Al Julanda Al Said, vice chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University. The fair brought together over 600 publishing houses from 35 countries, offering a wide range of publications across technical, cultural, political, and social fields. Dr. Al Kaabi highlighted Bahrain's annual participation as an opportunity to showcase its cultural heritage and enhance cultural engagement. He noted the growth of Bahraini-Omani relations under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, which is reflected in joint initiatives and cultural cooperation. Rana bint Fahad Mohammad, Cultural Advisor at Bahrain's Embassy in Oman, noted the strong visitor turnout at the Bahrain pavilion, which featured significant literary and heritage publications, underscoring Bahrain's dedication to promoting its cultural legacy. Khalifa Salem, a representative of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), stated that BACA's pavilion included publications from the joint publishing project and cultural books by Bahraini authors. The pavilion also featured titles on heritage, literature, arts, history, and archaeology, as well as the Knowledge Transfer Project, which offers around 50 translated works from French, Italian, English, and other languages. He added that BACA continues to promote Bahraini authors by supporting publishing initiatives, organizing lectures, hosting book launches, and enriching Arabic libraries with Bahraini intellectual and literary contributions.

The Omani-Bahraini Bazaar officially opened at Oman Mall in Muscat, under the patronage of H.E. Qais bin Muhammad Al Yousef, Minister of Trade, Industry, and Investment Promotion of Oman. The opening ceremony was attended by H.E. Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Oman, Mrs. Radina bint Amer Al-Hajriya, Chairperson of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, as well as a number of esteemed diplomats, officials, civil society representatives, local media, and members of the Bahraini community in Muscat. The event, which runs until March 26, is organized by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, in collaboration with the Bahraini Embassy in Oman. It features 30 exhibitors, including 17 Omani and 13 Bahraini entrepreneurs showcasing a variety of products ranging from fashion, perfumes, incense, Omani frankincense, Omani and Bahraini sweets, accessories, and traditional handicrafts, all reflecting the cultural heritage of both nations, as well as essential family products. This exhibition is a testament to the deep-rooted, historic relations between the two nations, reflecting the shared commitment of the leadership in both countries to foster closer ties and cooperation across various sectors. The event aims to support entrepreneurs in both countries, helping them create job opportunities, boost trade exchanges, and foster partnerships through trade fairs in various fields. It aligns with the goals of Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 and Oman's Vision 2040, emphasizing the role of entrepreneurs in economic development, opening new markets, and promoting trade between the two nations. H.E. Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Bahrain's Ambassador to Oman, emphasized that this exhibition underscores Bahrain's dedication to supporting its entrepreneurs, enhancing their output, and boosting their contribution to the national economy. He noted that the event is a reflection of the strong Bahraini-Omani relations and aligns with the directives of the leadership in both nations to deepen cooperation in all sectors. The exhibition also reflects the outcomes of the historic visit of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Oman in January of this year. Furthermore, Ambassador Al-Kaabi praised the growing trade relations and the increasing cooperation between the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of both countries. He emphasized that such events add significant value to the relationship between Muscat and Manama, serving as a model for how relations between brotherly nations should evolve. For her part, Mrs. Radina bint Amer Al-Hajriya, Chairperson of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, highlighted that the exhibition is the result of collaboration between the Bahraini Embassy in Oman and the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association. Organised by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association in cooperation with Bahrain's Embassy in Oman, the exhibition runs until March 26 and features 30 exhibitors—17 from Oman and 13 from Bahrain—showcasing products including clothing, perfumes, traditional sweets, accessories, and handicrafts reflecting both cultures. The event aims to enhance Bahraini-Omani ties, support entrepreneurs, create job opportunities, and boost trade partnerships. It aligns with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and Oman Vision 2040, highlighting the role of entrepreneurs in economic growth. Al Kaabi said the organisation of this edition of the bazaar reflects Bahrain's support for entrepreneurship. He noted that the event highlights the strong ties between the two countries, building on the results of the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Oman in January of this year. On her part, Al Hajriyah said the bazaar is the result of joint cooperation between the embassy and the association. She highlighted that the event contributes to economic development in both countries by supporting entrepreneurs and SME owners, with the aim of stimulating commercial and economic activity between Bahrain and Oman.
