SSC launches "Our Holiday is Different" on June 30
This announcement came during a meeting held at the Council's headquarters and attended by the event's organising committee and representatives of the Emirate's participating clubs.
During the meeting, early preparations for the event were reviewed and all necessary measures were put in place to ensure its excellence, as it is considered one of the most important annual events the Council has traditionally held.
The meeting was attended by Bakhit Saeed Al Kors, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department and Chairman of the Organising Committee; Ahmed Ali Al Salman, Programme Manager; and members of the working team, along with club representatives.
A variety of activities
The programme will involve age groups from 7 to 12 years and from 13 to 17 years for boys and girls, and will involve a variety of targeted activities and events, including the Holy Quran, sports activities, talent discovery, creativity, artificial intelligence, sports culture, electronic games, training courses, and awareness workshops.
5 weeks and 5 themes
The programme will run over five weeks: the first week is "I am Creative," the second week is "Here is Sharjah," the third week is "I am the Community," the fourth week is "I am an Athlete," and the fifth week is "I am the Future." Joint competitions will be held, and the host clubs will be determined later.
A coordination schedule will also be set, along with directives to increase the percentage of emirati members by no less than 70%. The meeting also discussed determining evaluation criteria for organising clubs through a specialised committee, conducting field visits to compare the plan with the implemented programme and content, and discussing proposals submitted by clubs.
It's worth noting that the clubs attending the meeting were Sharjah Sports Club, Al Batayeh, Al Hamriyah, Al Dhaid, Mleiha, Al Madam, Khorfakkan Sports Club, Dibba Al Hisn, Kalba, Sharjah Falconers Club, Sharjah Cultural Club for Chess, Chess and Culture Club for Sharjah Women, Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, Al Thiqah Club for the Disabled, Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled and Classic Cars Club, Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, Wadi Al Helo Ladies Club, and Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club.
