Human Trafficking Task Force to host monthly meeting on Feb. 11
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado will host its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 11. This meeting will feature Jason Frazier, Executive Director of the Bakhita Mountain Home. He joined FOX21 Morning News on Monday, Feb. 10 to talk about what he plans to discuss.
Frazier said Bakhita Mountain Home was started in 2018 by a couple of Catholic nuns. 'We're a residential program, confidential residential program, where residents can come, that have been unfortunately involved in human trafficking, victims of human trafficking, and they can stay in our program for up to two years,' said Frazier. 'We help them with absolutely everything, there's no charge to them, so they can focus on getting better and hopefully leading a productive life.'
The Human Trafficking Task Force meetings are open to the public and free to attend. They are held every second Tuesday of the month at 5:45 p.m. at Reclaiming Hope at 615 Wooten Road, Suite 140 in Colorado Springs.
