The new £6 kit comes in Primark's beloved Santorini Sunsets fragrance. We've already had the scent in a body scrub, shower gel and pear-themed body butter, but now it's been formulated into an array of Sol de Janeiro-esque minis. The travel set comes with a mini perfume mist, a mini body butter and a lip balm. Primark's social media team took to Instagram to promote the travel-friendly buy, which is currently available to shop across the UK. 'Bring your glow wherever you go,' they said. Beauty buffs were quick to gush over the new addition to Primark shelves in the comments of the post. 'This set is so cute!' one squealed. 'I need it,' another penned. 'Oh my god, I need!' a third exclaimed. Primark's original line-up of Sol de Janeiro dupes was released in April last year and consisted of three holiday-esque fragrances. Then in January this year, fast fashion bosses added five more scents - including the Santorini Sunsets. Among the others are Capri Coast, Bali Blush, Rio Romance and Fiji Fiesta, and they all come in similar bottles to the £24 Sol de Janeiro viral Perfume Mists. Sol de Janeiro has harnessed the power of social media, particularly TikTok, to propel its growth, with the hashtag #soldejaneiro garnering over one billion views alone. Shoppers loving high street alternative to Sol de Janeiro body spray that's £25 cheaper
Primark has once again made waves on the high street with products nearly identical to their fancy counterparts. One of its body sprays is back in stock, and it's been turning heads for its likeness to a designer brand. TikToker Sinead Baldev, known for her product reviews, exclaimed, "Primark has done it again" with their take on Sol de Janeiro's fragrance line —and you could snap up the entire four-piece collection for less than the price of a single 90ml bottle of the genuine article. Sinead revealed her struggle to find the dupes initially, as they had "gone viral on TikTok" and were "sold out" across all Primark stores. Consequently, she was ecstatic when she finally managed to secure them. She revealed snagging the 100ml versions of the fragrances at a mere £3.50 each, highlighting that "tiny little bottles" are also available for just £2 in some branches, making them ideal for travel. Kicking off her showcase, she presented 'Bali Blush', a ringer for Sol de Janeiro's Carioca Crush Perfume Mist, complete with matching packaging. Testing the original Sol de Janeiro scent first, she described it as "stunning," before giving Primark's version a go to compare the aromas. Sinead observed that the two fragrances bore a remarkable resemblance, although she noted the branded one was naturally "a little bit stronger." She confessed her amazement, saying, "I'm shook". Then, she raved about Sol de Janeiro Beijos De Sol, saying it's just like Primark's 'Fiji Fiesta'. "Primark, come to the front, because why am I spending £28 on this? £3.50. £3.50! They smell the same," she exclaimed. Sinead went on to mention that some folks don't think the Sol de Janeiro sprays linger because "they're only body sprays", but she countered: "On me, they actually last. I can smell mine on my clothes the next day". She then drew a comparison between Sol de Janeiro 59 and Primark's 'Capri Coast'. "I don't feel like they're as strong, but they smell the same," she noted about the Primark versions. The next scent showdown was with Sol de Janeiro's iconic number 62 spray, pitted against Primark's 'Santorini Sunset'. Once more, she observed it wasn't as potent, "but it does smell like it". "If I smelled any of these in the shop, I would know that they were Sol dupes. Primark has done it [...] "If you do not have them, I am going to tell you to run and do not walk," she advised. Sinead declared that even if they "did not last" she wouldn't "give a damn for the sake of £3.50," since you can simply respray them as much as you like while chilling by the pool this summer. The hair and body mist has been advertised as scented with "pistachio, almond and salted caramel". With a similar appearance to the original, pictures show the bottles branded with a tall white lid and clear plastic. According to the pharmacy's website, the 200ml is usually available from £4. One eagle-eyed discount shopper spotted the clearance sale advertising each one for 50p. Compared to the original Sol de Janeiro which retails around £24 for just one bottle, high-street buyers could opt to purchase a couple of dupes for just £1. Sharing a picture of the find on a bargaining Facebook page, many have reacted in the comments sections whilst the post has garnered 250 likes so far. The post read: "Might not be all Boots but worth a check if this dupe is your thing. "EDIT - hi guys when I said 'might not be all Boots ' I meant might not be 50p in all stores, could be £1 and also depends if that store originally stocked the product and what the stock levels are. "It has been discontinued. Possibility it could be repacked and return at some point in the future." 'I'm obsessed with it', cries fashion fan as she tries on major dupe from Dunnes Stores – and it's just €8 A savvy shopper commented below: "not sure if it smells the same but this is cheap xx" Whilst someone else said: "omg my favourite body spray." A third wrote: "That's a great deal." Others confirmed they had spotted the find for the slashed price at their local branch including in Newcastle and Bexley Heath. Previously, eagle-eyed customers noted a similar product on offer for £3.99 in Lidl. Fans raved how the "close dupe" would be perfect for gift-giving. With one even suggesting the spray smelled "identical too". Those looking elsewhere to save their pennies could head to Primark instead. Earlier this month, the cheap clothing chain was found to have restocked its cult Sol de Janeiro dupes in two sizes. The minis only set shoppers back by £2 whilst the larger size were priced at £3.50. The Capri Coast mist boasted to smell of jasmine and brown sugar, while the Bali Blush is orange flower and pineapple scented. The Fiji Fiesta scent is apple and coconut.
