Baltimore Ravens' Zay Flowers Has 'No Limits' From Knee Injury

Baltimore Ravens' Zay Flowers Has 'No Limits' From Knee Injury originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Zay Flowers missed the Baltimore Ravens' 2024 playoff run with a knee injury. Flowers was able to avoid surgery during the offseason and is on track to be fully healthy for a 2025 campaign. Advertisement "My knee's great," Flowers said on Tuesday. "I feel 100%. I feel like I'm ready to go, ready for the season, no limits." Flowers' return to form has caused offensive coordinator Todd Monken to think of new ways to utilize Flowers. 'We've just got to get him the ball more,' Monken said, via the Ravens' website. 'He's an unbelievable football player. He's not only an outside receiver that has elite route-running skills, but he's unbelievable with the ball in his hands. So you have a guy that really plays two spots. I'm not sure he can use that in his contract negotiations. But I'm just saying you can use him in a variety of roles to get him the ball, which allows your volume to go up. He's a volume catch guy. You can use him in novelty screens, getting him the ball down the field. I expect him to take another leap. When you make it to the Pro Bowl, or you're an All-Pro, you're pretty good." Monken made mention of Flowers' contract, as Flowers is extension eligible for the first time in 2025. If Monken can feature Flowers in the offense more and he can stay healthy, the former first-round pick could be looking for a hefty payday. Advertisement Flowers posted his first career 1,000 yard season in 2024, talking 1,059 yards and four touchdowns on 74 receptions, earning his first Pro Bowl appearance. It's not just Monken who wants to get Flowers more involved. According to Flowers, Lamar Jackson is already trying to take team bonding to the next level in 2025, bringing the group together as a whole and developing more chemistry. "This year, he wants to do a lot more meeting, he wants to do team stuff, do a lot more personal stuff with us just to get that team comradery to a good level," Flowers said. Flowers and Jackson worked out together in South Florida during the offseason, as they have done in years past. Flowers said those extra workout sessions are always beneficial to getting on the same page with his quarterback. Advertisement "It's just getting our timing down," Flowers said. "Like if we're running routes, he'll say: 'Run it this way' or 'I like how you ran it this way.' It's talking a lot and detailing the small things that he wants to get down." Former Ravens Kicker To Sell Baltimore-Area Home

Former Ravens Kicker To Sell Baltimore-Area Home originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Justin Tucker era of Baltimore Ravens football is over, and in the weeks after his release, both parties seem to be moving on. Advertisement According to CBS News, the former Ravens kicker will list his Baltimore-area home for sale as his NFL career sits on hold. 'The 6,480 square foot house in Owings Mills will be on the market starting June 6 for $3.2 million,' Adam Thompson wrote. 'According to the listing, there are five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. ''Pristine modern home that feels like you've just stepped into new construction,' the description says. 'Coming soon!'' Owings Mills, Maryland, is 20 miles and approximately 25 minutes from M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. As the NFL continues its investigation into Tucker's sexual misconduct allegations, his career hangs in the balance. Over a dozen Baltimore-area massage therapists accused Tucker of inappropriate acts during their sessions. A suspension, if the league's findings implicate the kicker, would be in order. Advertisement For reference, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was suspended 11 games for his sexual misconduct allegations. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh recently elaborated on the team's decision to release Tucker. "I mean, you're talking about arguably the best kicker in the history of the game," Harbaugh said, via ESPN. "And like we said, it's multi-layered [and] it's complicated. But in the end, it all comes back to what you have to do to get ready for your team to play the first game. And I think if you step back and you take a look at all the issues and all the ramifications, you can understand that we've got to get our football team ready and we've got to have a kicker to go. And that was the move that we decided to make." For now, Baltimore will turn to rookie kicker Tyler Loop, an Arizona product who was taken with the No. 186 pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Rookie kickers are inherently unstable, but Tucker's departure takes an awful lot of pressure off of him this summer. Ravens' Odafe Oweh Gaining Weight Ahead of Contract Year

Ravens' Odafe Oweh Gaining Weight Ahead of Contract Year originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Baltimore Ravens have one of the league's elite rosters, and that's in large part due to a first-round hot streak in recent seasons. Between safety Kyle Hamilton, receiver Zay Flowers, center Tyler Linderbaum, and corner Nate Wiggins, there is no shortage of star power coming from the first day of the Ravens' recent drafts. Advertisement Among them is edge rusher Odafe Oweh, who hasn't quite reached the peaks of his peers but has promising talent nonetheless. Coming off a 10-sack season and entering a contract year, Oweh is emerging as a difference-maker along the edge for Baltimore. With that said, Oweh has been deployed in a one-dimensional role to this point. He's played nearly three times as many snaps against the pass as the run. Now, Oweh is aiming to close that gap. The Ravens' edge rusher is bulking up for a pivotal 2025 season, telling the team's website that he gained 20 pounds of muscle. "[It will help in stopping] the run," Oweh said to Ryan Mink and Justin Robertson. "And then obviously, the top of my rush, not being able to be pushed off the point, digging out the rip. And then obviously [with] power as well." Advertisement Becoming more powerful could be what takes Oweh to the next level. More mass makes him harder to move, but it also makes his speed even more of a weapon, making his speed-to-power that much more impactful. Oweh has a lot to gain from becoming a complete player. With free agency looming on the other side of his 2025 campaign, hitting the market on a good note, with elite athleticism and first-round pedigree to boot, he stands to cash in. Yet, Oweh claims he was motivated by his 2024 campaign. "I didn't have the outing I wanted, so I thought a lot of that had to do with my weight and being able to be stout in certain positions," Oweh said. "So, as soon as the season was done, I went to Miami, started eating, lifting and then gaining weight, basically." Coming off the best season of his career, Oweh has high hopes for 2025. With Baltimore gearing up for a deep playoff run, each step could prove impactful. The edge rusher joked that the progress didn't come without sacrifice. Advertisement "It actually wasn't good food. It was a lot of nasty meal prep. But it did the job."
