Mountain-themed film festival coming to Morgantown
MORGANTOWN, (WBOY) — The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is making a stop in Morgantown next month to screen seven mountain sports, adventure and culture short films at the Metropolitan Theater.
Presented by Banff and Lake Louise tourism in Canada, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is a curated version of the larger Banff Mountain film festival and will visit 40 different countries throughout the year. In the U.S., the festival will make stops in New York City, Baltimore, Morgantown and other towns in Maine and New Hampshire.
A few of the showcased films will feature snowboarding, free climbing and extreme winter weather rescues and will be screened in downtown Morgantown on April 10 at 7 p.m.
