Bhool Chuk Maaf OTT Release Date: Despite enjoying a favourable run at the box office, Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi's latest family drama is ready to make its digital debut sooner than expected. Due to an extensive Maddock Films Vs PVR Inox legal battle, it was decided that the theatre-to-OTT window of this Dinesh Vijan production will be just two weeks. Here are four things you must know! 1. When and where to watch Bhool Chuk Maaf? Bhool Chuk Maaf will be streaming on Prime Video starting June 6, 2025. The film has so far earned Rs 74.75 crore at the global box office. 2. Bhool Chuk Maaf's cast and crew Written and directed by Karan Sharma, this is a Ketan Sodha and Tanishk Bagchi musical, cinematographed by Sudeep Chatterjee and edited by Manish Pradhan. Other than Rajkummar and Wamiqa, Bhool Chuk Maaf also stars Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, Ishtiyak Khan, Purnima Sharma, Anubha Fatehpuria, Jay Thakkar, Pragati Mishra and Dheerendra Gautam among others. 3. Bhool Chuk Maaf's plot overview The story is about Ranjan, a sweet and simple guy from Varanasi who finally lands a government job. This is a big deal for him because now he can marry the love of his life, Titli. But just when things are going perfectly and their wedding is about to happen, something strange occurs: Ranjan gets stuck in a time loop. He keeps waking up to the same day over and over again, the day before his Haldi ceremony. At first, he's confused and frustrated. But as he relives the day again and again, he starts learning more about himself, his relationship, and the people around him. Through this funny and emotional journey, he begins to understand what truly matters in love and life. In the end, the film is about love, second chances, and finding meaning even in the strangest situations. 4. Bhool Chuk Maaf's review The Times of India rated the movie 3 out of 5, and a part of their review read, 'Bhool Chuk Maaf has a few elements that are strikingly different and then those that follow a template. The family dynamics and eccentric characters may have that Bareilly Ki Barfi- North Indian vibe, but it also has its own personality. The social commentary through humour isn't predictable and is well established. The time loop can feel like you are witnessing a number of behind-the-scenes fun retakes. If you are up for it, you can give this one a watch.'

Maalik teaser: Rajkummar Rao is no longer the sweet Bittu, but a gangster with a penchant for killing to rise in life
The sweet boy-next-door we saw in films like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Ludo, Stree, and more has now turned into a bloodthirsty gangster, who has no qualms about shedding blood to rise in life. That's the best way to describe Rajkummar Rao's character in his upcoming film Maalik. The makers unveiled the film's teaser on Tuesday, which shows Rajkummar playing the role of a full-fledged gangster for the first time. The teaser takes us to 1988's Allahabad city and begins with Rajkummar Rao describing how there are two types of people — one who give their blood and sweat to build a life, and the others who shed blood and sweat to snatch the opportunity from others. Rajkummar proudly declares himself to be the latter. The gory visuals show Rajkummar waking up with a gun and walking amid a crowd with the gun on his shoulder. He is then seen ruthlessly killing a man as the crowd watches, and tying his body to a pole before lighting firecrackers tied around it. Rajkummar then delivers the line, 'So what if I wasn't born a Maalik, I can surely become one.' The following visuals show Rajkummar walking with his gang, firing at a house and at the police. Maalik is directed by Pulkit. It is bankrolled by Kumar Taurani and Jay Shewakramani, and also stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushi Chhillar, and Medha Shankr in pivotal roles. The film's music is composed by Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. It is set to release on July 11. Rajkummar Rao has seen moderate success at the box office over the past few years, except for Stree 2, which was a major success, minting Rs 857 crore worldwide. His other film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video minted Rs 58 crore at the box office against the reported budget of Rs 30 crore. The actor's last release was Bhool Chuk Maaf, which has been performing well at the box office, collecting Rs 60 crore within 12 days of release. However, the film will face competition from upcoming releases like the multi-starrer Housefull 5 and Kamal Haasan's Thug Life, which are set to release on June 6 and June 5, respectively.

Pankaj Tripathi says he lost weight, worked out three hours a day after father's death; took acting break to introspect: ‘Something's wrong'
Pankaj Tripathi went on a year-long career break after the death of his father, Pandit Banaras Tiwari, in 2023. In a recent interaction, the Bareilly Ki Barfi star spoke about how he needed the break to introspect and heal himself mentally and physically. The actor shared that he didn't sign a single film for an entire year after his father's demise. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said, 'I took time off to work on myself and heal, physically and mentally. That's why I've lost weight. I work out for three hours a day, six days a week. I also travelled — trips that I'd been putting off for a long time.' The actor admitted that though he wasn't busy, he kept telling everyone that he was occupied and instead used that time to introspect and heal mentally and physically. Pankaj also admitted that it was during this phase that he got bored with acting and would often find himself waiting for shoots to wrap. This mindset deeply concerned him, as he felt he wasn't doing justice to the profession he had worked so hard to enter. He shared, 'I thought — this can't be right. I love this profession so much. I've made so many sacrifices to get here, and if I'm spending my days just waiting for shoots to wrap, then something's wrong. That's why I took a break.' Pankaj admitted that at this stage in his career — where he has firmly established himself as a bankable actor — he is more selective with his roles. He explained that he is no longer working just for money or survival. 'I'm at a point where I'm no longer working for the money. I need to do work that gives me something to look forward to,' he said. On the professional front, Pankaj's new web show Criminal Justice: A Family Matter released on JioHotstar on Sunday. The actor will next be seen in Metro… In Dino, which is a sequel to the 2007 film Life… In A Metro. He also has a role in Kamal Haasan's upcoming film Thug Life. Additionally, he is part of Mirzapur: The Film, which was officially announced in 2024.

Has It Become Easy For Rajkummar Rao To Play Small-Town Hero? Actor Answers
Last Updated: Rajkummar Rao talks about how he gets into the character of Ranjan Tiwari for Bhool Chum Maaf. Read on. Rajkummar Rao has become well-known for his impressive performances and compelling characters. Lately, he has been particularly recognised for his portrayal of characters from small towns. Films like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Stree, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, and now Bhool Chuk Maaf, highlight his strong presence in the industry. 'I heard the story from Karan, and I found it very unique. The concept is so new for our Hindi industry. I've seen this concept in the West and I've been a big fan of this space, this genre. The way Karan has written the whole story, keeping this time loop in it, the comedy in it, the characters' arch, and in the end, there's a very beautiful social commentary also that we are making. So, it just came together very nicely for me," Rajkummar Rao shared. 'We all have seen weddings, we all have seen these characters in our growing-up years. And on top of that, to have this time loop in it was, I think, a double whammy for me," he added. But does this mean he hasn't had to put in effort to pull off yet another small-town hero? Well, no! Talking about the process of how he got into bringing Ranjan Tiwari to life, Rao shared, 'The plan is always how to make this one different. Because, of course, there are those many stories, those many characters that one can portray on screen throughout their career. I try and bring some element to my characters, be it a physical trait or be it some emotional core that only I know while performing that I'm carrying this throughout, which helps me in defining that character in the film". Rao further explained how he manages to differentiate each of his characters and said, 'This one also, I've tried something new, also because the concept is so unique, the circumstances are so different from whatever I've done till date. This whole time loop thing of this guy getting stuck in one day of his haldi day and then reliving that day again and again. There were too many ways to express that frustration, irritation. Sometimes he's just helpless or very angry. [At times] he's just apologising to everyone. So, I think the way Karan, as I said, designed the whole arch of this one day was beautiful for me to explore." First Published:

Pankaj Tripathi doesn't think he is the ‘right person' to replace Paresh Rawal in Hera Pheri 3: ‘I am nothing in front of him'
The drama around Hera Pheri 3 is one that just keeps on giving, and since Paresh Rawal's spectacular exit from the project, more chaos has ensued. Fans are now appealing to the makers of the film to cast Pankaj Tripathi in the place of Rawal, and in a recent interview, the actor reacted to these comments and gave his two cents. Pankaj told Bollywood Hungama that replacing someone like Paresh was out of the question and said, 'I read and heard about fans wanting me to play that part. I don't think I can do it. Paresh Sir is an extraordinary actor, and I am nothing in front of him. I respect him immensely, and I don't think I am the right person for the job.' Tripathi, who will be reprising his role of lawyer Madhav Mishra in the upcoming season of Criminal Justice, has done impressive comedic roles throughout his career in movies like Fukrey (2013), Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017), and Stree (2018). While on paper he might be the right catalyst for the job, replacing a character as iconic as Baburao is a difficult task. Rawal, who originally played Baburao in both Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri, stated that he did not feel like doing the role at this point in his career, and even though many reports suggested that he left the project due to creative differences with the director, the actor made it clear that this was not the reason. ALSO READ: Hera Pheri 3 can do without Akshay Kumar but not Paresh Rawal, says Suniel Shetty: '100 per cent cannot happen' While Akshay Kumar went on the offensive and sued Rawal for exiting the project mid-development, Suniel Shetty wasn't even aware that something like this had happened. He admitted that he got informed of Rawal's exit by his children, who saw the news blowing up on social media. In an interview with E24, Shetty revealed that he will be meeting with Rawal to discuss his untimely exit and added that this entire episode was very out of the blue for him. Sunil said, 'I am as shocked as you are. I spoke to him for only a second, and he asked to meet. We haven't been able to meet and talk yet. We have shot the trailer, so I don't know what happened. Otherwise, Paresh ji is not like this. He wouldn't have announced it on a public platform. I, Paresh ji and Akshay are united when it comes to Hera Pheri. He was quite charged,' added the Nadaaniyan actor. He admitted that he was planning only to do sequels of iconic films like Hera Pheri, Awara Pagal Deewaana, and Welcome for a while, unless something like Kesari Veer came along. Even so, the actor called Rawal's exit and the aftermath 'heartbreaking'.
