Rugby player jailed for three years after ‘savage and brutal' Carlow pub attack on man & girlfriend
A RUGBY player who carried out a 'savage attack' on a man and his girlfriend at a pub has been jailed for three years.

The incident took place at The Barracks Pub, Tullow Street,
When the footage from The Barracks was shown at an earlier sentencing hearing on March 6, there were gasps of shock.
The film showed Mr Grey and a friend standing at a vape vending machine in The Barracks.
A man and a woman then approached the machine.

Mr Grey's friend then tried to grab a phone from the man who had come up to the vending machine.
The man pushed Mr Grey's friend and hit him.
Mr Grey retaliated by punching the man, knocking him down and continuing to hit him while he was on the floor.
Mr Grey then punched the woman repeatedly in the face until she fell to her knees.
