EastEnders star gets new role 18 years after BBC show exit
Shaun Williamson, who played the role of Barry Evans, will join the Channel 5 gameshow Celebrity Puzzling.
Many viewers will remember the actor's gruesome fate on EastEnders when his character was pushed off a cliff by his wife, Janine, played by Charlie Brooks.
In the years since his departure, the actor has widely been referred to as "Barry from EastEnders" whenever he appears as himself on TV.

The celebrity version of the gameshow has seen the programme given a massive revamp.
Shaun Williamson is just one of the contestants taking part in the programme which will be hosted Jeremy Vine.
Sally Lindsay and Carol Vorderman will also be regular team captains, according to The Sun.
However, different famous faces will make up these teams each week, ensuring a revolving door of interesting and beloved celebrities.

Discussing the show, Jeremy Vine said: "It's a format where you can win without necessarily knowing the date of the Battle of Hastings or the name of the horse in the painting in The National Gallery.
'You can come to it with an open mind, an open heart.'
