Former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete makes catch of foul ball in Tokyo Well, it was only fitting the Chicago Cubs were involved in an MLB game that saw someone snag a foul ball away from a player. This time it benefited the Cubs as opposed to years ago when it didn't. The Dodgers and Chicago opened their seasons in Tokyo with a two-game series. A pop fly was lofted into foul territory and the Dodgers' Max Muncy drifted toward the seats to make an attempt at a great catch. Advertisement The only problem was someone associated with throwing -- footballs -- had eyes on the baseball, too. Former USC star and NFL quarterback Rodney Peete had a glove and a great seat and snagged the foul ball. Peete was proud of his accomplishment. Since this was the first game of the season, it would be too cruel to say Peete pulled a "Bartman," right?
