Hundreds packed the seated theatre to hear the then-nine-piece Montreal band's intensely emotional instrumental tracks in March 2003. The venue closed forever soon after as part of the building collapsed in 2004. Decades later, the group returned to the city with decades of albums and stage experience — minus a lengthy hiatus in early 2000s — to play a Supercrawl-presented show at Bridgeworks in November 2024. Godspeed's newest album, 'NO TITLE AS OF 13 FEBRUARY 2024, 28,340 DEAD,' follows the same intensity with droning chords and impactful crescendos. Basia Bulat's new album was inspired by motherhood, video games and Polish disco music

The Canadian singer-songwriter joins Q's Tom Power to discuss her latest record, Basia's Palace Social Sharing When Basia Bulat was a kid, she felt embarrassed by the Polish disco music her dad listened to. But now that she's a parent herself, she's found a new appreciation for her parents' taste in music. It even inspired a tune on her latest album, Basia's Palace. Bulat joins Tom Power to talk about the album, the Polish music that soundtracked her childhood, and how she also drew inspiration from motherhood and video games.
