'This includes two people arrested on suspected drug offences following work by officers on proactive patrol, and two prolific shoplifters who admitted more than 75 offences between them.
'We know being a victim of crime can be the most impactive thing someone can experience so when something is reported to us we carry out reasonable lines of enquiry.
'The positive news is we've seen fewer emergencies this January than last year, which also corresponds with the consistent fall in crime we've seen across the district.
'People across our district have my commitment that our work to reduce crime, keep them safe, and secure justice for them will not stop.'
