With an injured Caitlin Clark watching, young Mystics take apart Fever

BALTIMORE — They came dressed in pristine No. 22 Indiana Fever jerseys or more faded Iowa Hawkeyes versions, the mere opportunity for a glimpse of Caitlin Clark in street clothes enough to draw legions of her fans to downtown Baltimore on a gloomy, rainy night. Many, though, were dressed conspicuously as empty seats, that same calculus — Fever vs. the Washington Mystics, with Clark sidelined by injury — not enough to compel them to show up.

Fans fume over Angel Reese's big-money shoe deal amid WNBA struggles: 'Sales about to drop'

Angel Reese's signature Reebok logo has been revealed as the WNBA star prepares to launch her own shoe collection with the sportswear giants - leaving fans furious amid her recent struggles on the court. Just four games into the 2025 season, Reese has drawn criticism over her early performances for the Chicago Sky, who are 0-4 after their latest defeat against the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday. A clip of the 23-year-old's rough stretch during a recent loss to the New York Liberty also went viral on social media last week as basketball fans expressed their astonishment at her shooting in the game. Amid her poor form for the Sky, Reese is currently working on her signature shoe collection with Reebok seven months after penning a new two-year contract extension with the brand. Reebok has released the Chicago sophomore's trademark logo this week as they continue to work on the shoe collection, yet it hasn't gone down well with fans online. A number of users took aim at the footwear and clothing brand for continuing to work with the under-performing player as she fails to impress on the court. Angel Reese's Reebok signature logo has been revealed. Her first signature shoe is expected to be released in 2026. — Front Office Sports (@FOS) May 28, 2025 One replied to the post unveiling her logo and brutally concluded: 'And the end. Reebok sales are about to drop'. Another sarcastically replied: 'I wonder if they make you miss repeated layups consistently??' 'Angel Reese might be the worst player of all time to get a shoe deal,' a third claimed. 'Good for her, knowing how to manipulate a good company into giving her a shoe deal.' 'She is shooting 30% from the field shooting nothing but layups lmao yall gonna lose on this investment,' said another. While one told Reebok: 'u know shes 0-4 right'. Counting last season, Reese and the Sky have now lost nine straight regular season games in the WNBA. While she continues to lead the league in rebounding, Angel's scoring still has room for improvement. Last week she went 0-for-8 from the field against the Liberty as one particularly bad shooting stretch went viral. In the clip, Reese collected an offensive rebound and missed her first shot before getting the ball back and missing for a second time. Her third and fourth attempts at making a field goal were both met with a block. The former LSU star then gave up at that point and passed the ball back to the perimeter.
