Complete schedule for LSU baseball vs. West Virginia in Baton Rouge Super Regiona
LSU baseball takes one step closer to Omaha by starting its super regional series against West Virginia on Saturday.
The two sides made it out of last weekend's regional round. The Mountaineers, who traveled to Clemson, knocked off the host once and Kentucky twice en route to advancing. The Tigers needed a come-from-behind effort to defeat Little Rock in an elimination game to save their season.
LSU likely sends its one-two punch of starting pitchers to the mound for the opening two games. Kade Anderson and Anthony Eyanson will be ready to go as the Tigers hope to close out the series early in front of what's sure to be a rowdy Alex Box Stadium.
The Mountaineers will likely start the first game with their All-Big 12 First-Team battery of catcher Logan Sauve and pitcher Griffin Kirn. Second-teamer Jack Kartsonas will fill in the other starting spot. The offense scored 22 runs over the last two contests while the pitching staff surrendered 18 runs.

Sunday, June 8
Game two of the series will be broadcast on ESPN2. It begins at 5:00 PM CT.
Monday, June 9
If the best-of-three series requires a game three, it will be played on Monday. The time and TV channel have yet to be announced.
