Skip Bayless goes scorched on Steelers for signing ‘blame-deflecting diva' Aaron Rodgers in spicy rant
Skip Bayless reappeared on social media to blast the Pittsburgh Steelers for what he views as another bad decision at quarterback. The former ESPN and Fox Sports personality labeled Rodgers a 'washed-up, 41-year-old, finger-pointing, blame-deflecting diva' in a five-plus-minute rant he posted to X. Bayless was stunned the Steelers 'actually did it' by signing Rodgers, adding that he believes the ex-Jets signal caller is going to 'steal from the Steelers.' 'He was washed his last three years in Green Bay,' Bayless said. 'Go look at the numbers of his last three playoff games in Green Bay … I told the Jets he was washed.' Rodgers has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Steelers, who are basically all-in for the 2025 season after trading for star receiver DK Metcalf and with T.J. Watt entering the final year of his contract. 'What has become of the Pittsburgh Steelers?' he continued. 'I don't hate them anymore, I pity them.' Bayless referenced Rodgers' poor playoff stats, although he hasn't played in the playoffs since 2021. His last postseason contest game in a 13-10 home loss with Green Bay to the 49ers in the NFC Divisional Round, when Rodgers went 20-of-29 with 225 yards and zero touchdowns. Skip Bayless goes scorched earth on Aaron Rodgers. X, @RealSkipBayless Rodgers last secured a playoff win in 2020 over the Rams (23-of-36, 295 yards, two touchdowns) but followed that victory by losing to the eventual champion Buccaneers (33-of-48, 346 yards, three touchdowns, one interception) at home in the NFC Championship game. Bayless claimed the Steelers are better off with Mason Rudolph at quarterback and 'starting to look like the odds-on favorite to be the first pick in the draft next year.' Aaron Rodgers signed with the Steelers on Thursday. Corey Sipkin for the NY POST 'At least got a name, but he ain't got any game,' Bayless concluded. Rodgers had an uneven season as the Jets' signal caller in 17 games last season, throwing for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. He played just four snaps in his first Jets season before suffering a torn Achilles tendon.

Skip Bayless Calls Out Caitlin Clark After Loss to the Dream
Caitlin Clark has emerged as one of the most polarizing figures in sports. The Indiana Fever guard is the NCAA's all-time leading scorer, following an impressive career with the Iowa Hawkeyes, where she led the team to two national championship game appearances. After being selected first overall in the 2024 WNBA draft, she had a solid rookie season, averaging 19.2 points and 8.4 assists per game. This year, she is off to a strong start, averaging 23.5 points, 10.5 assists and 7.5 rebounds per game. Advertisement The Fever has a 1-1 record at the start of the season, but it was the team's most recent game that caught the attention of former Fox Sports analyst Skip Bayless. Bayless has had a successful media career and is known as the "Godfather" of sports debate shows; he was a foundational figure on ESPN's "First Take" before leaving to join Fox and host "Undisputed" before leaving Fox late last year. He did this on Tuesday when the Fever lost to the Atlanta Dream with a score of 91-90. The Dream took the lead with nine seconds remaining after Kelsey Mitchell fouled Rhyne Howard, who then made both free throws to give the Dream a 91-90 advantage. During the Fever's next possession, Clark was the inbounder and lobbed the ball to Natasha Howard. However, Howard's shot was blocked by Nia Coffey. Howard managed to grab her own rebound and attempted a 12-foot shot to win the game, but she missed. Coffey secured the rebound, sealing the victory for the Dream. Advertisement Bayless took to X to express his frustration about the play, stating in all caps, "Caitlin Clark has to take the last shot for Indiana when it's down one with nine seconds left. She did not. Fever lost at home to Atlanta." Bayless has built his career on critiquing players in "clutch situations." Most notably, he has criticized LeBron James for lacking a "clutch gene," arguing that he avoids those crucial moments. Bayless firmly believes that the best player should take the shot almost every time in those situations. Bayless' criticism could also be directed at the coaching staff. While Clark is an excellent passer, as evidenced by her average of double-digit assists, the play did not seem to be designed for her to do anything other than pass the ball. Although the outcome of this game was not favorable, it may serve as a valuable learning experience for Clark and her team as they move forward. Skip Bayless has words for the GOAT regarding Shedeur Sanders
Skip Bayless has taken aim at Tom Brady, accusing the NFL legend of influencing the Las Vegas Raiders to pass on drafting quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft. According to Bayless, who was once one of Brady's most vocal supporters, the former quarterback and minority owner of the Raiders may have played a role in the team's decision. Brady has denied involved in the pre-draft process. Advertisement During the draft, Bayless tweeted, 'It is now pretty clear Tom Brady who mentored Shedeur - told the Raiders NOT to take Shedeur. Duly noted.' The Raiders drafted a quarterback in the sixth round and ultimately passed on Sanders. The Colorado Buffaloes standout went to the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round with the No. 144 pick. Given Brady's part ownership in the franchise, Bayless believes his influence swayed the decision. Related: Shedeur Sanders' shows true colors at Browns minicamp Brady addressed the speculation during an appearance on the IMPAULSIVE podcast with Jake Paul, saying he wasn't involved in any evaluations. 'That's the problem with media,' Brady said. 'Everyone can just say whatever the (expletive) they want.' Bayless fired back at Brady with a 25-minute video on social media. 'He condemned the media. He took the cowardly way out,' Bayless said. 'Just take me on, I don't care. I can take it because I'm right.' He insisted that Brady was vague on purpose and challenged him to address him directly. Despite defending Brady during the Deflategate scandal, Bayless now says he's losing trust in the seven-time Super Bowl champion. 'I said that Belichick was involved if any footballs were underinflated, but not you, Tom. Now, I got to admit, you're making me wonder,' he added. All centered around Sanders and a draft mystery none of us might never have the facts about. Shedeur has said he's ready to compete in Cleveland and even took No. 12, paying homage to Brady.

Skip Bayless unleashes on Tom Brady for taking 'cowardly way out' in Jake Paul interview
Skip Bayless unleashes on Tom Brady for taking 'cowardly way out' in Jake Paul interview Skip Bayless has gone from Tom Brady defender to public critic. The polarizing sports commentator called out the seven-time Super Bowl-winning former NFL quarterback for recent comments made regarding rookie Shedeur Sanders. According to Bayless, Brady played a part in the Raiders' decision to pass on Sanders in the 2025 NFL draft. Sanders was projected to be a first-round pick by many draft analysts, but he ended up falling all the way to the fifth round before finally being taken by the Cleveland Browns with the 144th pick. Brady vehemently denied Bayless' claims when appearing on Logan Paul's "Impaulsive" podcast. "I wasn't a part of any evaluation process," said Brady. "...That's the problem with media, anybody can say whatever the [expletive] they want and get away with it. It's kind of unfortunate because they're actually used to be a lot of integrity in media. There's way less now because everyone needs crazy voices to get heard." Bayless didn't waste an opportunity to clap back at Brady with a long video posted to social media. "In the end, it wasn't like Brady actually called me out because he didn't call me out by name on the Jake Paul podcast," said Bayless. "He just said that was wrong, and by translation, of course, I'm wrong. Tom did it with the big, broad brush. He condemned the media. He took the cowardly way out. Just take me on, I don't care. I can take it because I'm right." The Raiders traded for veteran quarterback Geno Smith back in March, and they waited all the way until the sixth round of the draft to take rookie quarterback Cam Miller. Brady has a personal relationship with Sanders as a mentor, and given his ties with the Raiders, it's fair to question if he went to bat for the young quarterback behind the scenes. However, that would also be assuming that Brady's reach within the organization impacts personnel decisions, which there hasn't been a clear indication of since he became a minority owner. Brady isn't the general manager or head coach of the Raiders. The ultimate decision on who to draft was likely out of his hands. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.

Skip Bayless implied that LeBron James padded his stats vs Pelicans
Skip Bayless implied that LeBron James padded his stats vs Pelicans Sports commentator Skip Bayless has made a living for years by taking shots at LeBron James. It seems as if no matter what James accomplishes, Bayless finds a way to downplay it in order to generate clicks and views for himself. On Friday, James' Los Angeles Lakers powered past a very depleted New Orleans Pelicans team by a final score of 124-108, allowing them to hold on to third place in the Western Conference. James scored 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting and dished off eight assists, and 14 of his points came in the fourth quarter as the Lakers solidified their grip on the game. Bayless seemed to allege that James was out to pad his scoring stats in this contest. Los Angeles was playing the second game of a back-to-back set, so James could've simply sat out, and the team still would've likely found a way to win. But if he had done so, Bayless may have criticized him for doing that. The Lakers, who have a 47-30 record, have a tough final five games of the regular season. They will hit the road to face the 64-13 Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday and Tuesday before playing the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. They will then host the second-place Houston Rockets on Friday before closing out their schedule versus the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon next Sunday.
