Eskan Bank integrates Baity platform with eKey 2.0, advancing Bahrain's digital housing services

Eskan Bank has announced the integration of its digital housing platform, Bayti, with the national eKey 2.0 system, in collaboration with the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) and Beyon Connect. This marks the first integration of its kind for a private sector application following the government's 'MyGov' app. The announcement was made on the sidelines of the 'Innovation in the Social Housing Sector' Conference and Exhibition, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, under the theme 'Towards Innovative and Sustainable Housing Solutions.' The integration enables users to access the Bayti platform securely and easily through the eKey 2.0 system, which offers unified login using biometric facial recognition without the need for a password. The system also allows users full control over their personal data and how it is shared with service providers, enhancing security and data privacy. The link between Bayti and eKey 2.0 helps facilitate housing transactions with high efficiency while protecting user data and improving access to services, saving users time and effort. Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, Chief Executive of the Information and eGovernment Authority, expressed satisfaction with this development, describing it as a qualitative step forward in providing digital solutions that support citizens' housing needs. He noted that the collaboration reflects Eskan Bank's commitment to offering safe and convenient digital real estate services and contributes to Bahrain's digital transformation in line with the Kingdom's Economic Vision 2030. He added that the partnership supports the Kingdom's strategic objectives by enhancing the housing portfolio and enabling citizens to access advanced digital services, while reinforcing the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning's efforts to provide adequate and sustainable housing. Abdulla Taleb, General Manager of Eskan Bank, stated that the Bayti platform is the first private sector app to be integrated with the eKey 2.0 system, reflecting the bank's leadership in driving digital transformation within the housing sector. He noted that the integration enhances Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures and adds an extra layer of security and reliability to transactions, facilitating homeownership processes. Christopher Hild, Chief Executive of Beyon Connect, stated that this collaboration improves the efficiency of digital real estate services through the Bayti platform and simplifies procedures for digital homeownership, in alignment with Bahrain's Vision 2030 to build a fully integrated digital society. Those interested in accessing services available on the Bayti platform can download the eKey 2.0 app via the eGovernment Apps Store at or through iOS, Android, and Huawei app stores.
