3 Texas A&M baseball players will play in the Cape Cod League this summer

3 Texas A&M baseball players will play in the Cape Cod League this summer Texas A&M's 2025 baseball season ended disappointingly after missing the NCAA Tournament for the first time in nearly 20 seasons. While some believed first-year head coach Michael Earley would not be retained, Texas A&M Athletic Director Trev Alberts made the brash decision to bring him back for the 2026 season. With Earley's return, the 37-year-old skipper will need to replenish the roster after star outfielder Jace LaViolette announced his departure, likely to enter the 2025 MLB Draft. Meanwhile, several veterans, including starting pitchers Ryan Prager and Justin Lamkin, have yet to decide on their future. However, outfielders Gavin Grahovac and Terrence Kiel III were the first players to announce their return, followed by sophomore catcher Bear Harrison. This week, it was revealed that three Aggies, including Bear Harrison, will participate in the annual Cape Cod League, with pitcher Luke Jackson set to play for the Chatham Anglers. In contrast, Harrison and second baseman Ben Royo, who has yet to announce his return, will play for the Falmouth Commodores. This is a good sign that Jackson and Royo will both return to the Aggies in 2026, and if shortstop Kaeden Kent follows suit, Texas A&M's 2026 infield will be well equipped, especially with Cliff Pennington joining the staff as the program's newest infield coach. The Cape Cod League is another opportunity for rising college players to continue playing throughout the summer, avoiding any drop-off and sharpening their skill sets. Texas A&M, meanwhile, has struggled at times without him. The nation's preseason No. 1 team is 24-18 after the losses to Texas on Friday and Saturday, though the Aggies had won 10 of their previous 11 games entering the series. Aggie fans react to Texas A&M's 17-7 run-rule victory over TAMU-CC on Tuesday night

Aggie fans react to Texas A&M's 17-7 run-rule victory over TAMU-CC on Tuesday night Texas A&M picked up another midweek victory run-ruling Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 17-7 giving the Aggie fans something to cheer about. In a crucial move to spark the offensive side, Coach Michael Earley implemented significant lineup changes for the Aggies. Terrence Kiel III was promoted to the fourth spot, and catcher Bear Harrison earned a midweek start. Despite a rocky outing from Aiden Sims, the bullpen shined as Grant Cunningham delivered a stellar relief performance, allowing just three hits and one run over five innings. Amid a week filled with shocking mid-major upsets, Texas A&M baseball bounced back emphatically, piling on the runs after enduring a tough sweep at the hands of SEC rival Alabama. While this dominant display offers hope, consistency remains a question mark as the Aggies prepare to resume SEC play on Friday. So far, the trio of Ryan Prager, Justin Lamkin, and Myles Patton have been pivotal in keeping Texas A&M competitive with minimal offensive backup. Aggie fans can only hope this decisive win marks a turning point in the season, setting the tone for a more consistent offensive approach. With the pressure of SEC competition looming, this could be the fresh spark Texas A&M needs to rejuvenate their campaign. Below are some of the best reactions from Aggie fans and the media after the win on Tuesday.
