Beaufort Middle School learning center dedication
BEAUFORT, S.C. (WSAV) — The Beaufort County School System (BCCS) held a naming and dedication ceremony Thursday for the Carole Ingram Lifelong Learning Center.
Carole Ingram began teaching in the BCCS at Robert Smalls Middle School in 1983. She moved to Lady's Island Middle School in 1991 where she became an assistant principal. When the Beaufort Middle School opened in 2021, she joined as an assistant principal. She was named principal there in 2025.
Ingram was recognized as the South Carolina Middle School Principal of the Year in 2009. Two years later, the school was named Palmetto's Finest for the 2011-2012 school year. She retired in 2019 but remains active in the Beaufort community and continues to support the school.
