There have been some rumors that a cel-shaded version of Rebirth Island might be coming to Call of Duty Warzone. Needless to say, Rebirth Island is one of the most popular maps in Warzone, and if fans get a new version of this map, there will be no boundaries to their excitement.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone is going through almost the middle phase of the current season, when fans are eagerly waiting for the mid-season refresh, aka the Season 4 Reloaded update. So, fans can surely hope for a unique version of an iconic map in the coming update.
Call of Duty teases cel-shaded version of Rebirth Island in Warzone
As of now, there has been no confirmed release date announced for Season 4 Reloaded. But according to the previous mid-season refresh trends and the Season 4 Battle Pass countdown, we might see Season 4 Reloaded being dropped on the game on June 26, 2025.
Amidst this anticipation, Activision is gradually revealing the upcoming contents in the game. For example, Beavis and Butt-Head, the iconic cartoon character duo created by Mike Judge, is coming to the game as a part of Season 4 Reloaded. Now, this is where it all began.
The announcement post on Twitter by the official Call of Duty account caught the eyes of many fans. According to them, the announcement post featured Beavis and Butt-Head in Warzone setting that too in a cel–shaded version of Rebirth Island.

A fan even went on to compare the uncanny similarities between the promotional image in the announcement post and the real Rebirth Island map.
However, these are all rumors and speculations as Activision is yet to officially confirm any new version of the iconic map. Also, the developers didn't go in detail while announcing the Beavis and Butt-Head collaboration. So, everything before some concrete details should be taken with a grain of salt.
However, Call of Duty did feature a handful of cel-shaded maps, like Yard in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone as part of the Season 5 update. So, all these speculations aren't absolutely baseless. Also, a cell-shaded version of Rebirth Island would be a perfect setting for the upcoming cel-shaded Operators, Beavis and Butt-Head.
