PCPD hosts first Coffee with a Cop of 2025
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – Locals joined local law enforcement officers Friday morning for coffee and conversation.
Panama City Police held their first Coffee with a Cop event of 2025. Residents met with officers at the press in Downtown Panama City.
The event's goals are to strengthen the bonds between local law enforcement and the community. It provides residents an opportunity to ask questions and relay problems in a relaxed environment.
Traffic disruptions in Holmes and Washington counties due to roadwork
'We like to reach out to the businesses and the residents in the area and have them come out and meet us in an informal environment where it's not something that's so stressful for them. They feel like maybe they can talk to us about issues or concerns that they have in the neighborhoods,' PCPD Sgt. Becky Thore said.
Police hope to host at least one Coffee with a Cop event per quarter. One each in Downtown Panama City, St. Andrews, Millville, and Panama City North.
