Jon Bon Jovi celebrates 36 years of marriage with wife Dorothea one year after his cheating confession
Jon Bon Jovi celebrated his 36th wedding anniversary with wife Dorothea Hurley by uploading a sweet tribute to his Instagram page on Tuesday.
The Livin' On A Prayer hitmaker, 63, also shared a throwback snap of the couple in the post - one year after the singer admitted he 'hasn't been a saint' during his relationship with Hurley, 62.
The pair tied the knot in 1989 at the Graceland Wedding Chapel located in Las Vegas - and are also parents to four children: Stephanie, 31, Jesse, 30, Jake, 22 and Romeo, 21.
In one image, the performer shared a picture of 36 red roses that were in a glass vase on top of a table.
Jon could also be seen cozying up to his high school sweetheart in a throwback photo as they posed outdoors.
He sported a blue suit and flashed a cheerful smile as Dorothea wore a strapless, white dress which was paired with white gloves.
Lastly, the rock singer shared a photo of a sign at the chapel the lovebirds said 'I do' at.
It reads: 'Graceland Wedding Chapel. The original world famous home of ceremonies with the 'King." Rock star Jon Bon Jovi was married here.'
In the caption, he penned to his 2.4 million followers: '36 roses for 36 amazing years Happy anniversary my love….'
Last year during an interview with People, the star reflected on tying the knot with Dorothea and revealed that the marriage had 'shocked everybody.'
He recalled, 'We were in Los Angeles, California, the band was on the road on the New Jersey tour, and if you opened up the curtains of my hotel room, there's a big billboard of the five of us [Bon Jovi band members] staring into my window.
'My girlfriend, who was my fiancée at the time, we had a night off, and I said, "I need a higher high - I got an idea. Let's go to Vegas now." And she said, "Now?" I said, "Now."'
Jon and Dorothea went to Las Vegas and the taxi driver had been their witness during the lowkey ceremony.
When it was revealed that the pair had married, the singer said 'it shocked a lot of people - shocked about everybody: the band, management, agents, lawyers, parents, you name it.

'It's a shame because it should have been a beautiful moment, but after we did it, people were trying to take it away until I stood up and went, "Wait a minute, why are we living our life for anyone else?" And 35 years later, we're still married.'
Also last year, Jon admitted that he 'has not been a saint' amid his marriage while talking to The Independent.
'These are all the wonderful clichés of rock stardom. It's about never lying about having been a saint, but not being a fool enough to [mess] up the home life, either,' he told the outlet.
In regards to their long-lasting relationship, he explained it was due to a 'mutual admiration society, and being lucky enough to have grown up together.'
On his 1993 track titled Bed Of Roses, the singer had belted out lyrics about regretting past dalliances.
He also seemingly hinted that he had been with 100 women during the ABC special Michael Strahan x Jon Bon Jovi: Halfway There.
At one point, Strahan said that the singer's stardom which began at a young age could have been 'tough on a relationship.'
Jon said, 'I got away with murder. I'm a rock and roll star. I'm not a saint. I'm not saying that there weren't 100 girls in my life. I'm Jon Bon Jovi. It was pretty good!'
He added, 'But if you think I'm ever going to jeopardize my anything for believing the narcissist in me was real?
'What a stupid thing to do. What kind of excesses does a man need that's going to fuel that fire? It's just not worth it.'
After his interview with The Independent, the singer was spotted at the screening of his documentary series Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story - but his wife was not in attendance.
However, the real reason that she did not make an appearance at the event was soon revealed.
A source explained to Page Six at the time that she had COVID but was 'feeling well and recovered.'
Jon and Dorothea first crossed paths in 1980 when they were students at Sayreville War Memorial High School in New Jersey.
The performer previously told People that he had been 'immediately drawn' to Hurley when he first saw her. 'And that's never changed - 40 years ago.'
He added, 'Having grown up together and grown together. And we really like each other. We want to hang out.'
The star also revealed that he would let Dorothea 'cheat' off his work in one of their history classes.
Dorothea joined in on the conversation and said, 'I always said I was good at spotting potential too. I have a gift. He's cute. I'm shallow. I'll admit it!'
The singer added, 'We enjoy each other and we never fell for the trappings of what celebrity can do.
'We've witnessed that happen over the years to people that were close to us and people that we knew from afar. It's just what I do, it's not who I am. I write songs. I happen to be very good at performing them. That's it.'
His second youngest son, Jake, is notably married to Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown. They tied the knot in a private ceremony last year and the rock singer was one of the guests.
