Bill Belichick has reportedly been trying to line up some lucrative gigs for his girlfriend (and rumored fiancée) Jordon Hudson. Journalist Pablo Torre, who has been prolific in reporting about the Belichick-Hudson relationship, told Pro Football Talk that the former Patriots coach has tried to boost Hudson's career. He has tried to get her six-figure jobs on the media enterprises that he was also working for," Torre said. Torre, the host of Pablo Torre Finds Out, has been vocal in highlighting the significant role Hudson plays in Belichick's life and business. Torre noted that, sure, the 49-year age gap is something that draws attention. However, he notes that there's a big story here. As the head coach at North Carolina, Belichick is the highest-paid public employee in the state. At the same time, Hudson has been acting as his agent, manager and PR specialist. Torre disputed the idea that Hudson was merely handling 'lower level stuff' like social media. He insists that Hudson is 'at the top' of Belichcick's operations. Advertisement 'She is the CEO of Belichick Productions, even if that LLC is not actually incorporated anywhere. That's the LinkedIn profile,' Torre said. 'She is his idea mill and creative muse, per the acknowledgments page of his book. She is the person that you had to deal with if you were Matt (expletive) Damon. The whole idea of, 'No, she's doing the lower level stuff.' No, this is at the top.' Why mention Damon? Torre noted earlier in the interview that Damon and Ben Affleck were put in the usual position of having to negotiate with Hudson when they tried to get Belichick to be in their Dunkin' Super Bowl commercial. Jordon Hudson fiasco validates Bob Kraft's biggest insult to Bill Belichick, insider says
Over the past few months, Bill Belichick's behavior has had many looking at the former New England Patriots coach in a different light. That's especially true whenever Jordon Hudson is in the picture. For journalist Pablo Torre, who's been prolific in reporting on the Belichick-Hudson relationship, says the whole boondoggle has reshaped the narrative around Belichick. But Torre says the whole ordeal with Hudson made him think of a quote from Patriots chairman Robert Kraft in a 2021 book by Seth Wickersham. Kraft was quoted as saying Belichick was 'an idiot savant.' In an appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast. Torre says he's starting to see it. 'I believe that there is a great deal of this man being a genius and also a fool,' Torre said. The host of the 'Pablo Finds Out' podcast said the the more he learned about Belichick outside of football, the more he questions the coach's off-field decision-making. Torre suggested Belichick had questionable judgment when it comes to the people who he surrounds himself with. Advertisement 'The people around him are afraid to deal with him, even as they are literally in the same room watching Jordon Hudson, rolling their eyes, some of the coaches on staff,' Torre said. Torre's criticism wasn't limited to just Belichick. He also went after Hudson, who has described herself as the COO or 'Belichick Productions,' which is not an actual LLC. Torre said that Hudson's approach to public relations and handling Belichick's media gigs hahase been a complete disaster. 'Everywhere she goes, there's a trail of wreckage that suggests that the man who is basically undefeated against the median press conferences – he's not only losing the public relations war, he has self-destructed, and he hasn't coached the game," Torre said. In recent weeks, he has driven the conversation about the sudden change in Belichick's behavior in recent years. Bill Belichick's girlfriend told UNC not to introduce Steve Belichick as Bill's son to combat nepotism claims
Bill Belichick's girlfriend Jordon Hudson is taking an active role in shaping the communications strategy at UNC. Hudson — who Belichick asked to be included on school emails — advised the university's media team against announcing Steve Belichick as Bill's son in an attempt to prevent claims of nepotism, according to The Athletic. Hudson sent guidelines to the university on how to announce Steve's hiring, saying Steve should "be depicted and represented as his own established, credible entity as opposed to an extension of Bill," per emails obtained by The Athletic. 'It can be easily misinterpreted that Steve is simply benefitting from nepotism but that is not the case. Steve was fortunate to have learned defensive football strategy from the 'greatest defensive mind' of all-time. He has earned his position due to his performance and output.' Advertisement Steve was announced as the team's defensive coordinator and linebackers coach in March. In that announcement, UNC referred to him as "the son of Bill Belichick." Hudson also told the school to avoid using pictures of Bill and Steve together as a way to combat nepotism claims and make Steve's career stand on its own. In addition to advising UNC on Steve's hiring, Hudson also messaged the school about moderating content on social media pages, per The Athletic. 'Is there anyone monitoring the UNC Football page for slanderous commentary and subsequently deleting it / blocking users that are harassing BB in the comments?' Hudson asked on Feb. 13. On Valentine's Day, Belichick followed up. 'I cannot believe that UNC would support my being called a 'predator,'' he wrote. UNC confirmed it hid or blocked comments about their personal life, though did not find any instances in which Belichick was called a "predator." Belichick and Hudson's relationship has been subject to criticism due to their age gap. Belichick is 73. Hudson is 24. Advertisement Hudson does not hold an official position with UNC or its football team. She's listed as the chief operating officer of Belichick Productions in emails, though The Athletic was unable to find a business listing for Belichick Productions. Belichick raised eyebrows when reports emerged suggesting he asked UNC to copy Hudson on emails. Given the content in the emails that emerged Tuesday, it appears Hudson is essentially acting in some sort of PR role for Belichick. After a year away from coaching, Belichick agreed in December to be the next head football coach at UNC. Despite not coaching a single game yet, Belichick's tenure with the team is already off to an eventful start.
