Woman, 22, killed in rollover crash; police suspect driver had been drinking
Police suspect speed and alcohol were factors in a rollover crash that killed a 22-year-old woman and injured several others.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. Saturday on County Road 13 in rural Walker, Cass County, with police arriving to find an overturned 2007 Dodge Nitro in a ditch.
There were five people were in the Dodge at the time of the crash, including a 22-year-old Bemidji woman who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two men were taken to Bemidji Sanford Hospital and another man was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Park Rapids for treatment.
Police obtained a warrant for a blood draw from the driver, a 23-year-old man from Walker, as they suspect "alcohol and speed" were factors in the crash.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office does not state if the driver has been arrested at this time, but does not that criminal charges are pending the results from the blood draw.
