Devils sign forward Almquist on short-term deal
Forward Ben Almquist has joined Cardiff Devils for the rest of the 25, has been playing for Lillehammer in Norway this season, his first as a American spent five seasons in the National Collegiate Athletic Association in north America, the last two with the University of Alaska-Anchorage where he led his team in scoring in his final year."Finding a player at this time of year is not easy, but we are lucky that things worked out with Almquist," said Devils head coach Pete Russell."He works hard for the team, has offensive ability and has powerplay talent in his game."With the guys we are going to be missing long term, he is a welcome addition to the group and we are looking forward to him being part of it the last two months of the season."
