The first Peanuts musical special in 35 years is coming to Apple TV Plus in July.
Following yesterday's announcement that season 56 of Sesame Street will be available on Netflix 'later this year,' Apple TV Plus has announced that it's bolstering its lineup of kid-friendly programming with its first original Peanuts musical. Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical finds the Peanuts gang trying to save their beloved summer camp from shutting down when it debuts on July 18th, 2025. It will feature original music by Jeff Morrow and Ben Folds.

Trump lambasts management of Washington's Kennedy Center
US President Donald Trump is the first president to sit as chairman of the Kennedy Center. (AP pic) WASHINGTON : US President Donald Trump lambasted the former leadership of the Kennedy Center yesterday, saying the renowned Washington cultural institution's days of 'rampant political propaganda' were over since he personally took the reins. 'When I said, I'll do this, I hadn't been there,' Trump told the new members of the center's board, who gathered at the White House. 'It's the last time I'll take a job without looking at it,' he joked before saying 'tremendous amounts of money' were spent there over the last 10 years but the building was in 'dire shape'. Shortly after returning to office in January, Trump dismissed several longstanding members of the board, after which new members installed the president as chairman in February. That prompted several key figures, including TV producer Shonda Rhimes and musician Ben Folds, to resign from their leadership positions. A historically bipartisan-supported institution, the Kennedy Center has never been led by a US president before. 'The building was falling apart. In addition, the programming was out of control with rampant political propaganda, DEI and inappropriate shows,' Trump said before criticizing LGBTQ programming. The Republican's gripes did not end there, as Trump reiterated unsubstantiated accusations that opponents had 'rigged the election' he lost. He added that foes would not credit him for claims he was instrumental in bringing the Olympics and the World Cup to the US. 'And then I said, you know what I'll do? I'll run again, and I'll shove it up their ass. And that's what I did,' Trump said to applause and laughter. 'If they would have left this alone and wouldn't have cheated on the election and wouldn't have rigged, I'd be retired right now,' Trump said. 'I would have been happily doing something else. Instead they have me for four more years.' Secretary of state Marco Rubio, US attorney general Pam Bondi and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles were among the guests.

Luke Day Barbecue returning to support Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Early next month, Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue will be once again hosting a barbecue event that helps support their animals. The Luke Day Barbecue is an event hosted by Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue and NextHome TriState Realty. The titular 'Luke' is NextHome's dog mascot, and the event celebrates his birthday by helping the animals at the rescue center. During the event, Siouxlanders are encouraged to donate pet food items, cleaning supplies, or cash in order to help out Sioux City Animal Adoption and Rescue. Event-goers can enjoy a barbecue sandwich, chips, and a drink while hanging out with many of the cute animals at the rescue. Ben Folds to play with the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra in fall visit If you meet an animal you'd love to take home, there will be a raffle at the event where you could win the chance to have your adoption fee covered. Ben Folds to play with the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra in fall visit
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter Ben Folds will be playing with the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra for a performance this fall. The special performance will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 7:30 p.m. Morningside University receives $1.5M for track and field renovation Ben Folds has made music for years, including pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and other collaborative records. Last fall, he recorded a live album with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, which is set to be released this year. The post Ben Folds Announces 2025 US Tour Dates appeared first on Consequence. Ben Folds has announced a new stretch of 2025 US tour dates taking place in late summer and fall. The new shows follow Folds' previously-announced tour dates this spring and will find him playing both solo (billed as 'Ben Folds & a Piano') and with several regional orchestras and symphonies. He kicks off his 2025 trek this month in Costa Mesa, and will continue through the US until July 27th; along the way, he'll reprise his 'Paper Airplane Request' show style in Wasau, Wisconsin.
