Bengals' Andrei Iosivas adds 15 pounds while eyeing breakout season

Cincinnati Bengals wideout Andrei Iosvias is hard at work making sure Year 3 is a continued ascent. After breaking onto the scene as a sixth-round pick in 2023 and registering 479 yards and six scores last season, Iosvias wants to do more than just retain his role in Joe Burrow's offense. Advertisement Iosvias wants to keep ascending while his team wins games. According to Geoff Hobson of one aspect of Iosvias tackling this goal is packing on roughly 15 pounds of muscle, which he says hasn't impacted his speed. "I think it's helping me," Iosivas said told Hobson. "I'm stronger out of my breaks. Quicker. I can put more power into the ground so I can push off faster. People's bodies are built differently. When I put on the weight, it was beneficial to me. Not detrimental. I'm still fast. If I'm the same speed, but heavier, who cares? Run through some tackles." RELATED: Bengals UDFA is already turning heads at OTAs There's a big competition for reps behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins in the passing attack. Tight end Mike Gesicki is back and essentially a big slot receiver in the offense. He had 65 catches to Iosvias' 36 last year. Either way, that same push that made Iosvias a late-round success story in an offense already stacked with star receivers hasn't left Iosvias this offseason, clearly. Seth McLaughlin circled as Bengals UDFA most likely to make final 53

Seth McLaughlin circled as Bengals UDFA most likely to make final 53 Ohio State center Seth McLaughlin was easily the biggest name for the Cincinnati Bengals in undrafted free agency this offseason. It shouldn't come as a shock, then, to think that McLaughlin has the best shot at the final 53-man roster this summer, either. Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski picked McLaughlin as the UDFA most likely to make the 53 while pointing out his injury woes: "Unfortunately, McLaughlin also suffered a season-ending torn Achilles tendon, which could hamper his participation in training camp. Still, the Cincinnati Bengals should try to sneak McLaughlin onto the roster somehow, because he could potentially replace Ted Karras in the lineup." RELATED: 2025 NFL draft: RAS scores for new Bengals rookie class The Rimington Trophy winner is a solid prospect, but it might be a little early to suggest he'll get the better of Ted Karras right now. But much of the 53 projection really comes down to health. The Bengals were more than happy to get a local prospect at a good value and improve depth. Behind Karras, another fan-favorite prospect in 2024 seventh-rounder Matt Lee remains in the fray for the long-term job, too. RELATED: What draft experts said about new Bengals DL Shemar Stewart
