‘Raitamitra' phone-in programme for farmers on Doordarshan
The Bengaluru Doordarshan Kendra, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, will hold a phone-in programme titled Raitamitra (farmer's friend). The programme aims to assist and inform the farming community across Karnataka.
'Raitamitra' will be broadcast on the first and third Fridays of every month from 6 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. During the show, farmers can call-in and ask questions related to agriculture, government schemes (both Central and State), modern farming practices, new technologies, and weather conditions relevant to each season.
The Karnataka Minister for Agriculture, resource officers, and agricultural scientists will respond to farmers' queries live on air, providing guidance and expert advice.
Interested farmers can participate by calling the dedicated helpline numbers, 080-2354 2599 and 80-2354 2699.
For those who miss the live telecast, the programme will be re-broadcast the following morning at 6 a.m. Additionally, 'Raitamitra' will be available on YouTube.
