Vita Warehouse Corp. voluntarily issued the recall on Thursday, June 12, for one lot of B12 vitamin gummies under brand names Welby, Berkley Jensen and VitaGlobe, according to a news release issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The undeclared allergen that triggered the recall was peanuts, the release said. Individuals with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts "run the potential risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products," according to the federal agency. Here is what to know about the ongoing recall: Which vitamins were recalled? The recalled vitamins include: Aldi Welby (1,000 microgram, 140 gummies): Clear bottle with white cap, using green, red, and white labeling. UPC Code : 4099100290868 Lot # : 248046601* Expiration Date : 10/2026* (1,000 microgram, 140 gummies): Clear bottle with white cap, using green, red, and white labeling. Berkley Jensen (1,000 microgram, 250 gummies): Clear bottle with white cap, using red and pink labeling. UPC Code : 888670132487 Lot # : 248046601* Expiration Date : 10/2026* (1,000 microgram, 250 gummies): Clear bottle with white cap, using red and pink labeling. VitaGlobe (extra strength, 60 gummies): Clear bottle with white cap, using white and red labeling. UPC Code : 850005214670 Lot # : 248046601* Expiration Date : 10/2026* (extra strength, 60 gummies): Clear bottle with white cap, using white and red labeling. *Lot code and expiration date are printed on the bottom of the bottle. Has anyone gotten sick from consuming the affected vitamins? The recalled vitamins have not led to any reported illnesses or allergic reactions, according to the FDA. How was the undeclared allergen found? The recall was issued after Aldi conducted a routine testing as part of the retailer's standard protocol to verify the accuracy of allergen-related claims made on products' labeling, specifically a 'does not contain peanuts' statement, the FDA said. One of the test results showed a potential presence of a peanut allergen, the agency added. Although Vita Warehouse Corp.'s internal testing verified the absence of peanuts in the vitamins, the "recall is being initiated out of an abundance of caution to ensure consumer safety and trust," according to the FDA. No other Welby, Berkley Jensen and VitaGlobe brand products are affected by this recall. What should people with peanut allergies do if they bought the recalled vitamins? Those who are allergic to peanuts and have purchased the affected vitamins with the lot code 248046601 and an expiration date of October 2026 are "urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund or discard them immediately," according to the FDA. Any consumer who experiences an allergic reaction should seek medical attention right away, the agency said. Vita Warehouse Corp. can be contacted at 1-855-214-0100 Monday-Friday from 7:30 am – 4 p.m. EST to answer questions.

Over 20,000 portable stadium seats recalled nationwide
(WHTM) — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of more than 20,000 portable folding stadium seats due to fall and injury hazards. According to CPSC, about 22,500 AMX Global Portable Folding Stadium Seats have been recalled because the bleacher security hooks can crack and break, posing fall and injury hazards for consumers. To date, AMX Global has received five reports of the security hook breaking, including two reports of falls and one injury involving bruising, headaches, and a pinched nerve. These recalled seats were sold at BJ's Wholesale Club and Big 5 Corp stores nationwide and online at from July 2022 through January 2024 for between $30 and $50. CPSC says this recall specifically involves the AMX Global Portable Folding Stadium Seat sold under the BJ's Wholesale (Berkley Jensen logo) or Black Sierra (Black Sierra Equipment logo) brand. The recalled Berkley Jensen seats have the date code '04/2022' on the white tag on the bottom of the seat, and the recalled Black Sierra Equipment seats have the date codes '05/2022' or '11/2022' on the white tag on the bottom of the seat. Moving forward, consumers are told to immediately stop using the recalled seats and destroy them by cutting through the fabric of the seat and backrest. You should then take a photo of the destroyed recalled seat, including the consumer's initials and the date in the photo. You can then send the photo to AMX Global at support@ to receive a full refund.
