The main focus of attention today is Redcar, where a progressive Sir Mark Prescott-trained runner and a daughter of the great Frankel appeal to our in-house expert tipster.

2.50 Redcar – Class 5 Maiden Handicap (1m 6f)
REQUIEM (NAP) has been a beaten favourite on both of his handicap starts this year, but his recent second over 1m 3½f at Haydock was a step in the right direction and he looks likely to improve again now he steps up further in trip.
If that's the case, Sir Mark Prescott's runner could be hard to beat in a weak-looking race.
3.50 Redcar – Class 5 Fillies' Handicap (1m 2f)
Jet Black is the recent form horse, having finished second at Nottingham last time out in a similar event over this trip, but it's BERNALDA who might prove the one to be on.
The selection has a good pedigree, being by Frankel and out of a Group 3 winner, and she has shown fair ability with the possibility of more to come.
Bernalda finished down the field over a mile at Thirsk on her latest start, but she had been off for five months and wasn't given an unduly hard ride late on. Up in trip and switched to fillies-only company, she has a sound-looking chance of gaining a breakthrough success.
