Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts is adding another role to his increasingly impressive resume: author.

Driving the news: "Better than a Touchdown" tells the story of a young Jalen who's excited for the new school year so he can try out for the football team — only to find out the team has been cut, per publisher Penguin Random House.
The book is a "love letter to the power of community" that is "told with Jalen's signature wisdom."
What they're saying: "It's a lot of hard work, a lot of love put into this book," Hurts says in a video announcing the book's 2026 release. "It's very heartfelt because without the lessons learned, I wouldn't be where I am today."
