In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the iconic comedy "Clueless", Street Food Cinema (SFC) and Paramount Pictures are teaming up to host a special event and screening on Saturday, July 19th, in partnership with the City of Beverly Hills. The date is officially being declared 'Clueless Day' by Beverly Hills Mayor Sharona Nazarian in honor of the film's prominent cultural impact on the by Paramount Pictures on July 19, 1995, Clueless took the movie world by storm, encompassing all matters of teenagehood and coming of age, including social dynamics, fashion, friendship, and love. The wit and charm of the film's protagonist Cher Horowitz, played by Alicia Silverstone, captivated fans, and, 30 years later, Clueless is a constant classic with timeless cultural significance, embodying a lot of what is true of a high school experience. 'While many iconic films have been set in our city, Clueless stands out, not just as a defining film of the 1990s, but as a cultural touchstone that continues to resonate with new generations,' Mayor Nazarian said in a statement. 'Its legacy endures because it's both stylish and sincere, and because it's rooted right here in Beverly Hills.' SFC, LA's largest outdoor cinema series, is hosting the 30th anniversary event at La Cienega Park in Beverly Hills. Doors open at 5:30pm for fun-themed photo ops, fashion and '90s trivia competitions, a Beverly Hills market area, popular LA food trucks and giveaways. DJ Taja Barber will also be in attendance, playing all the top jams from the '90s. The event is dog-friendly, so fans can enjoy the lively day with their pups. Programming will begin at 8:15. Tickets are for sale on Street Food Cinema, with ticket prices up to $27. There is a reserved section that offers premium seating at the front of the screen. Both the reserved and general admission areas are first-come, first-serve for seating, and chairs are not included.
