Bharat, who had been pursuing his MBBS from Northern State Medical College since 2019, died on June 20 —just days before he was due to receive his degree on June 28 and return to India on July 2. The news of his death reached his family a day later, through his friend Yash, who informed them that Bharat had fallen from a rooftop while dining out with friends. Ever since the family of the deceased was running pillar to post to get his body back home. After the intervention of the Indian govt and the efforts of the Indian Embassy in Russia, the repatriation process of the body has been set into motion. As per official information, Bharat's body will be flown from Arkhangelsk to Moscow on June 25 via Smartavia Airlines, departing at 5:55 PM local time. It will then be transported to New Delhi on June 26 aboard Aeroflot flight SU232, scheduled to arrive in India at 3:20 AM on June 27. The Indian Consulate in St. Petersburg has confirmed that all formalities, including diplomatic and legal procedures, have been completed, say sources. Ministry officials informed the family that the embassy ensured full coordination with Russian authorities to facilitate the process without delay. For the Baghel family, this was supposed to be a time of celebration. Bharat's return to India was eagerly awaited—not only for his graduation but also because his wedding was fixed for November.
