The play was adapted by Surendra Sharma while directed and music by Dimpy Mishra. Costumes were designed by Saransh Bhatt. Rangbhoomi unfolds a saga of neglect, inner strength and sacrifice. It is a subtle but powerful resistance to rising forces of capitalism, oppression and political greed. The play revolves around a blind beggar Surdas who owns a piece of land that was used by other villagers for grazing cattle and as a playground for children. John Sewak, a christian industrialist, wants Surdas to sell his land to him. Surdas refuses to do so thinking about the animals that graze in his land. In the end, Surdas was shot and killed during a riot sparked by John and after his death John exploits the village and ruins the settlement. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like What Is The Cost Of A Private Jet?
