'I'm innocent': YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra tells father during jail visit
HISAR: Harish Malhotra, father of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra -accused of spying for Pakistan -visited her at Hisar's Central Jail No. 2 on Tuesday, the first day after her judicial custody began. Jyoti was sent to judicial custody on Monday after completing a nine-day police remand. She was arrested on May 17 after case was filed under Section 152 (act endangering sovereignty, unity and integrity of India) of the Bhartiya Naya Sanhita, along with Sections 3 (penalties) and 5 (wrongful communication, of information) of the Official Secrets Act. She was initially remanded for five days, extended by an additional four days on May 22. On May 26, she was presented in court and subsequently sent to jail. During the nine-day remand, superintendent of police Shashank Kumar Sawan said that no evidence so far suggested that Jyoti accessed sensitive military, defence, or strategic information, or that she was involved in any terrorist activity or linked to any terrorist organisation. However, the SP confirmed that Malhotra was aware of individuals identified as Pakistani intelligence operatives and was in contact with them. Central investigative agencies also interrogated her during the investigation. Authorities are currently analysing data from her four bank accounts, but no official comment has been made regarding financial transactions. The SP further clarified that there is no evidence to suggest that the accused converted to Islam or married any Pakistani intelligence operative.

Cops to identify border sites where YouTuber shot videos
1 2 Hisar: A local court on Thursday extended the police custody of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra , arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan, by four days on completion of her five-day remand. The authorities plan to identify the border areas where Malhotra allegedly recorded videos even as superintendent of police (SP) Shashank Kumar Sawan reiterated that no evidence has surfaced to suggest that the accused had access to military, defence, or strategic information or involved with any terrorist activities or affiliated with terror organisations. According to the SP, investigations revealed that Malhotra was aware of and in contact with individuals identified as Pakistani intelligence operatives. Malhotra remains in custody of Hisar police and has also been questioned by central investigative agencies. Authorities are currently analysing four of her bank accounts. The SP noted that it would be premature to comment on any financial transactions at this stage. Sawan further clarified that the investigation has not revealed any facts suggesting that Malhotra converted to Islam or married a Pakistani intelligence operative. Additionally, the diary pages circulating publicly are not in police possession. A formal complaint was filed by sub-inspector Bijendra Singh, following which the Civil Lines police station registered a case against Malhotra on May 16. She was charged under Section 152 (act endangering sovereignty, unity and integrity of India) of the Bhartiya Naya Sanhita, along with Sections 3 (penalties) and 5 (wrongful communication, etc., of information) of the Official Secrets Act. YouTuber espionage case: Devices sent for forensic analysis
1 2 3 Hisar: In a development in the espionage case involving YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra , Hisar police have recovered five electronic devices—three mobile phones and a laptop from Malhotra, and two mobile phones from Harkirat Singh, IT in-charge of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC). All the devices were sent to a cyber forensic laboratory for analysis. According to the investigating agencies, Malhotra was in contact with Danish, an official at the Pakistan High Commission , from Nov 2023 until March 2025. Authorities also revealed that Malhotra holds multiple bank accounts with thousands of transactions, making financial analysis a time-consuming process. A leaked chat between Malhotra and a Pakistani intelligence officer identified as Ali Hasan went viral. In the conversation, Hasan allegedly asked Malhotra whether she met any undercover individuals during a visit to the Attari border and instructed her to bring them to a room in the gurdwara if she did. Ali Hasan is believed to be the same individual whom Danish instructed Malhotra to meet during her trip to Pakistan. Hasan is said to have arranged her travel and accommodation. Meanwhile, national agencies including the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Military Intelligence (MI), and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) continued questioning Malhotra in Hisar. Central agencies question YouTuber in Hisar; she visited Kashmir before Pahalgam attack

Investigators questioned her about the nature of information she may have shared with Pakistani officials — particularly before the Pahalgam attack and during Operation Sindoor. Hisar police found that Malhotra visited Kashmir prior to the Pahalgam incident. She travelled to sensitive locations, including Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Dal Lake, and Pangong Lake in Ladakh. Pangong Lake is situated near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China. She uploaded videos from these locations on her YouTube channel, prompting national security agencies to step in. On Sunday night, police took Malhotra to her residence in Hisar, where sources confirm that some documents were seized. These materials are now under examination. A formal complaint was filed by sub-inspector Bijendra Singh, following which the Civil Lines police station registered a case against Malhotra on May 16. She was charged under Section 152 (act endangering sovereignty, unity and integrity of India) of the Bhartiya Naya Sanhita, along with Sections 3 (penalties) and 5 (wrongful communication, etc., of information) of the Official Secrets Act. Mobile of HSGMC IT in-charge seized Hisar superintendent of police Shashank Kumar Sawan said that a mobile phone was seized during the questioning of Harkirat Singh, IT in-charge of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGMC). The device is currently under analysis. SP Sawan added that Singh may be summoned again if further information is required.
