The accused have been identified as Parneet Kaur of Bhanohat in Dakha area and her father Bhawanjit Singh, who is presently in Singh of Sahauli village told the police that he married Parneet Kaur and spent close to Rs 50 lakh on the marriage and sending her abroad. The complainant further said that Parneet Kaur lured him with the promise of getting him permanent residency in Canada, but when she went there, she flatly refused to call him.
