Keira Knightley wows in a shimmering black co-ord as she attends the 3rd Nouvelles Vagues International Biarritz Film Festival
Keira Knightley turned heads as she arrived at the 3rd Nouvelles Vagues International Biarritz Film Festival on Friday. The actress, 40, showed off her impeccable style in a shimmering black and white top, teamed with matching trousers. She boosted her height in black heels and flashed her dazzling white smile while posing for snaps. Meanwhile, Sofia Carson put on a glamorous display in a black layered maxi dress, with a belt that cinched her waist. For 6 days, the Biarritz Film Festival – Nouvelles Vagues presents an international competition composed of 8 feature films never before released in French theaters. Alongside the official competition, the Festival screens over thirty films, including an open-air screening. It comes after new accounts have shown there is a whopping £7.1million in profits at Kiera's company Ponder Rights, including £411,000 earned in 2024. Its riches sit alongside £9.7million held in performing arts company KCK Boo, as well as £7.8million worth of properties held in nominee company Charlotte Road - that's a total of almost £25million. Explaining her frugality, Keira said: 'Living an [expensive] lifestyle means you can't hang out with people who don't live that lifestyle. It alienates you.' 'Some of my best, most hilarious times, have been in the least luxurious places.' Keira is famously frugal - and when she shops at her local Tesco with her husband, Klaxons musician James Righton, they have been known to use separate self-service checkouts. The actress lives in a £4million North London mansion with her family. She bought the pad using a £2.3million loan from her own company. It comes after it was revealed Keira has 'reunited with Daniel Craig on the school run' after former co-stars enrolled their children in the same private school . Keira's husband James is very involved in school activities, appearing in the Christmas show, and his enthusiasm is matched by Daniel and his Oscar-winning wife, Rachel Weisz. 'Keira and James are very into their children's school,' a source tells me. 'They always want to get involved and now it's rubbing off on Daniel and Rachel. Their kids are in the same year, which is handy.' Keira recently offered insights into her passions and politics in a new interview with Vanity Fair Italy as she shared her views on Brexit and climate change. The actress opened up about her 'left-wing artistic' opinions in a candid conversation with the fashion magazine in October. Keira revealed how she cried over the decision to leave the European Union during Brexit and shared her worries that the world will 'explode' due to climate change. Speaking on Brexit, she said: 'I campaigned for the remainside. I was in tears when Brexit happened. And I have no idea what is going to happen. 'But I really hope that, from now on, there will be better relations between the EU and Britain: the bad relationship was just ridiculous, particularly at a point when we needed to work together to solve such big problems.' Sharing her concerns about climate change, Keira went on: 'That and climate change. I mean, I'm worried that the world will explode! 'I always tell my daughters to grab happiness wherever they can find it, but I'm aware it won't be easy with all these situations getting out of control.' Elsewhere, Keira opened up about her opinion on paternity leave in the UK, which she claimed was a 'ridiculous system' because dads only get two weeks off. She said: 'We just have to look up at the Scandinavian countries: that's how you bring dads into childcare more. 'However, if I look at my group of friends, I see things are evolving: when I bring my kids to school, all of the dads are there. 'It's easily fifty-fifty, but I'm aware I'm talking about a very left-wing artistic group of people. We're all very progressive.'

James Franco's girlfriend Izabel Pakzad, 29, stuns in a sheer co-ord as she and the actor, 47, join Carla Bruni at Biarritz Film Festival
James Franco and his girlfriend Izabel Pakzad attended the Opening Ceremony during the 3rd Nouvelles Vagues International Biarritz Film Festival on Thursday. Walking the red carpet in France, the actor, 47, and the actress, 29, were joined by Carla Bruni, 57. Izabel, who has been dating the Spiderman star since 2017, looked stunning in a sheer co-ord consisting of a crop top and knee length skirt. She teamed the sequinned number with a pair of strappy black heels and styled her hair into curls. Meanwhile, James opted for an oversized suit which he paired with a striped shirt and sunglasses. Carla wore an elegant figure-hugging midi dress, that featured a ruffled neckline for the event. The festival, which takes place over six days, will showcase eight feature films that have yet to be shown in French theatres. James' appearance comes after Seth Rogan made it clear that he isn't paying much attention to comments made by his former friend and collaborator. The Long Shot actor, 42, publicly cut off his Pineapple Express co-star James after he was accused and sued by his students over behaving inappropriately and sexually towards them. Years after Seth publicly announced he had distanced himself, James went on to confirm that the friendship was officially 'over.' Now Seth has admitted he wasn't even aware of his former friend's comment, telling Esquire in a new interview: 'Honestly, I absorb so little media that it really wasn't on my radar.' He then noted: 'That is all he wants to say about that.' Over the course of their friendship, James and Seth had starred in a number of projects together, including the NBC Cult classic Freaks and Geeks. They also appeared in films such as Pineapple Express, This Is the End, The Disaster Artist, and The Interview. Speaking again about the rift in October last year, James told Variety: 'I haven't talked to Seth. I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it's over. 'And not for lack of trying. I've told him how much he's meant to me.' In January of 2018, five women told the Los Angeles Times that James had been sexually inappropriate or exploitative with them. One detailed how James removed plastic guards from actress' vulvas during a sex scene while simulating oral sex. Two of the women, Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal, sued James in 2019, claimed that he tried to 'create a pipeline of young women who were subjected to his personal and professional sexual exploitation in the name of education' while they attended his Studio 4 acting school. At the time, James denied the allegations via his attorney. He eventually settled the lawsuit for $2.2 million in July 2021. James' appearance comes after Seth Rogan made it clear that he isn't paying much attention to comments made by his former friend and collaborator Initially, when the allegations came out in 2018, Seth told Vulture that he would continue to work with James. But in May 2021, he publicly revised his position, telling Britain's Sunday Times that he would not. 'What I can say is that I despise abuse and harassment and I would never cover or conceal the actions of someone doing it, or knowingly put someone in a situation where they were around someone like that,' Seth told the publication. He added that it was 'not a coincidence' he hasn't worked with Franco in recent years, as he faced sexual misconduct accusations in 2014 and again in 2018. That December, James said it was 'hurtful' that Seth had 'no plans to work with him in the future.'
