A new industrial facility will bring 50 new jobs to Bibb County.
More jobs and economic development are on the way to Bibb County.
The Bibb County Economic & Industrial Development Authority (BCEIDA) revealed plans for a Georgia-based contractor to build a new facility in the region.
The facility for Rado Mechanical Group, which provides services like stainless steel welding and installing electrical circuits, will be at 326 Industrial Park Drive at Bibb County Industrial Park and is expected to create 50 new jobs.

The 20,000-square-foot building on 22 acres will be a critical operations and service center for the company.
Rado selected Bibb County for this facility because of its strategic location, business-friendly environment and strong workforce, according to a release.
'This investment underscores our confidence in the region's workforce, infrastructure and commitment to industrial expansion,' said Russell Carlisle, vice president of business development of Rado Mechanical Group. 'We look forward to becoming a valued member of this community and contributing to its continued prosperity.'
The project is supported by the Bibb County Commission, Alabama Department of Commerce, Bibb County Economic & Industrial Development Authority (EIDA), West Alabama Works, Alabama Power Co., Birmingham Business Alliance and other key partners.
'This project represents new job opportunities, economic expansion and a strengthened industrial base,' said Ty Corbell, Bibb County commissioner.
Rado Mechanical is working closely with Woodstock and Bibb County leaders to partner with local workforce development programs and begin the hiring process.
Other Alabama industrial sites have been mentioned in the BBJ recently as well. Two metro area rail sites garnered national attention this spring.
The Jefferson County Economic & Industrial Development Authority (JCEIDA) received national recognition for two of its Norfolk Southern rail-served industrial development projects. The JCEIDA's Red Rock South Site and Cowley Site were both awarded special designation as part of the Site Selectors Guild's REDI Sites program.
The Red Rock South Site, which spans just over 102 acres, received a REDI Sites Bronze designation, and the Cowley Site, which is currently 140 acres but expandable to 190, received a REDI Sites Emerging designation.
